Efficiency can mean a lot nowadays, and this dryer knows it. Its ultra large capacity will handle extra-large loads, so you finish your laundry faster. The Intelligent Electronic Controls with Dual LED Display make it easier to get the settings right, so you can just “set it and go.” The Sensor Dry System will detect the level of moisture in the fabric and automatically adjust drying-time and temperature. And, stay ahead of the cycle and access key LG dryer features remotely with ThinQ technology. If you appreciate efficiency, so does this dryer.
Q: Lint collecting around dryer door seal. Anyone else experiencing this?
A: I have the dlex4000 dryer and it too is accumulating lint at the bottom of the door seal directly across from the lint trap. Contacted LG and I got a lot of "it's normal". Had one agent tell me the history of lint, presuming that I didn't understand what lint was. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry after that one. So insulting. Also got a lot of "did you clean the lint screen?" (yes) and "did you wipe down the door seal?" (also, yes). One of the rocket scientists at customer service told me that the issue was not caused by the dryer because lint is caused by the items being dried, not the dryer. There is no way the dryer could be creating lint. What????? I never said the dryer was creating lint. It is obvious lint is not leaving these machines properly. Ran the duct install test and it passed. Also ran the duct diagnostics and it passed those. I asked to have my case elevated and I'm assuming they didn't because the last response I got from LG was an offer of a replacement lint screen. I'll keep my fingers crossed but my hopes are low that this will solve anything. I read people have had service calls and doors replaced with no solution so it seems that this is a problem that is baked into the machines and LG isn't prepared to deal with it. I had one response essentially telling me that the service tech's time is "precious" and would be wasted on a service call for this issue. Take that under advisement the next time you're looking for a new dryer, appliance, phone, TV, etc. I've had other brand dryers in the past and I've never seen lint accumulate on a door seal. Lint should not be staying in the dryer. At the very least it should be stuck to the lint screen and not blowing up from the screen onto the door seal. Besides, how does dried up lint stick to a door seal? I hope LG will take this issue seriously and come up with a solution.
A: Hi Cindy1. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart wi-fi Enabled SteamDryer™, Model # DLEX3700V does not have a steam feeder that has to be filled manually with water for the steam functions. IT has a water inlet valve in the back of the dryer that you have to connect to your cold water supply line with the supplied "Y" connector and supplied hoses...^IFV
A: Yes, the dimensions of the DLEX3700W include the vent pipe. The primary difference between the two is the TurboSteam feature which generates real steam to reduce wrinkles and odors, and practically eliminates the need for ironing. ^CP
A: Hello, you can stack this unit on top of a LG washing machine or LG pedestal. ^CP
Q: Can you steam fresh delicates like bras ,panties, and stretch pants without shrinking?
A: LG’s new steam technology injects fabrics with a swirling jet of hot steam to refresh clothes, reduce static, and make ironing easier. The Steam Sanitary™ cycle is ideal for sanitizing non-washable items quickly and easily using the power of steam.Use this cycle for cotton and polyester material. (Do NOT use for urethane foam, down feathers or delicate items). Steam Fresh™ uses the power of steam to quickly reduce wrinkles and odors in fabrics. It brings new life to wrinkled clothes that have been stored for an extended time and makes heavily wrinkled clothes easier to iron. Steam Fresh™ can also be used to help reduce odors in fabrics. Do not use Steam Fresh™ with items such as wool, wool blankets, leather jackets, silk, wet clothes, lingerie, foam products, or electric blankets. Q: Do I have to hook up the water if I don’t plan on using the steam option?
A: No, you don't need to hook it up to water but it comes with the parts needed to split a water feed off the water connection for your washing machine. The steam feature is actually quite nice for taking out wrinkles from cottons and even things like suit pants or sportscoats. I just put it in the dryer while I take a shower, cycle runs 10 minutes and the items are much less wrinkled. Haven't pulled out the ironing board since getting the dryer and using this feature.
A: I reconfigured my LG dryer DLEX3700V to vent on the right side using Part # 3911EZ9131X. It worked fine. Make sure you use UL Listed HVAC Foil Tape to interconnect the side vent kit.
Q: Is there an option to mount the vent on right side?
A: As shipped from the factory, the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Smart Wi-Fi Electric SteamDryer - Sensor Dry and TurboSteam, Model # DLEX3700V is configured to vent to the rear, but it can be configured to vent to the left, to the right side or to the bottom. You will need to purchase an adapter kit (Part # 383EEL9001B) that contains the necessary duct components to change the dryer vent location.
