So I’ve been using this dryer for 5 months and can honestly say that now that I’ve put it through its paces and figured out its quirks, I absolutely love it. As with every dryer there are alway Pro’s and Con’s. I’ll start with the high level pro’s in case you don’t care to read the whole review. The DLEX6500W drys fantastic, is quiet, has a lot of cycle options, some better then others, love the smart capabilities and how it tells me when my load is done/I can remotely extend the cycle from my phone, looks beautiful with the rose gold, love the LCD dial control, has a light in the drum (nice bonus), #1 most importantly has a stainless steel drum (important since the DLEX6500W has a steam feature, plus it won’t chip over time like aluminum alloy painted drums can if you are drying heavy clothing with buttons etc) and what ended up being the #2 most surprisingly important feature to me, which I was clueless about until I started reading the reviews on LG’s other models, the lint screen/trap on this model is located external to the drum which helps to avoid getting lint all of your cloths and floor each time you remove the screen to clean). No seriously, it’s a HUGE complaint on some of their lower end and higher end dryers. My biggest advice to you prior to buying is to make sure you double check what Best Buy lists on the spec of each dryer with what the manufacturer has listed. On Best Buy’s appliance comparison, I originally purchased the DLEX5500W because it was cheaper, and said it had a stainless steel drum. But after I happened across the manufacturers website, i found that Best Buy incorrectly lists the 5500 as having a stainless steel drum, when in reality it’s painted aluminum alloy. I’ve found this issue with multiple appliances on the Best Buy site, so if there is a feature that is truly important to you, fact check on LG’s site before you purchase. Now for the quirks. You will notice a lot of reviewers complaining about an error message of having a 90% blocked duct with instructions to clean the lint screen and or ducts. Oh yes, this will happen to you, even if you just had your ducts professionally cleaned. Don’t be put off by this. After you’ve confirmed that there are truly no blockages, this is what I’ll tell you. The LG sensors are hyper sensitive. The way you get around this quirk is the following: 1. After every load, wipe the lint screen with a paper towel on both sides. Don’t just use your hand, cuz somehow this ridiculously hyper sensitive dryer will detect lint particles unless you use a dry paper towel. 2. After you are done with laundry for the day, along with wiping down the lint screen with a dry paper towel, second step, wipe it with a wet paper towel or, run it under the water faucet for a few seconds and let it air dry over night before placing back in the dryer. Once I started doing that, I stopped receiving the 90% blockage error message. I’ve done a lot of research on this. It won’t matter what model you choose, this will be the problem and the solution for all of them. Lastly honest opinion on dryer program settings. I use power dry the most as it gets everything the most dry the fastest. AI clean I found works best for clothing only. Don’t bother with the heavy items on this setting because you’ll be waiting for hours to dry. Towel setting is fantastic. Heavy blankets/comforter setting, meh, don’t waste your time that just went on and on. Steam setting is great. Overnight setting to keep cloths from wrinkling AWESOME. In summary, if it comes down to the DLEX6500 and DLEX5500 for you, pay the extra $100 for the DLEX6500 and you’ll get a stainless steel drum and a lint screen located external to the drum. I have zero regrets with this purchase.

I recently purchased the LG 7.4 Cu. Ft. Smart Electric Dryer in Graphite Steel, and it has completely transformed my laundry routine. The sleek and modern design looks stunning in my laundry room, and the build quality is top-notch. Performance: The steam and sensor dry features are game-changers. The steam option is perfect for refreshing clothes and removing wrinkles, saving me the hassle of ironing. The sensor dry function works incredibly well, ensuring that clothes come out perfectly dry without over-drying. It even adjusts the drying time automatically based on moisture levels, which is super energy-efficient. Ease of Use: The controls are intuitive and easy to navigate, even for someone who’s not tech-savvy. Plus, the smart features are a huge plus—I can monitor and control the dryer using the app on my phone, which makes multitasking a breeze. Capacity: The 7.4 cu. ft. capacity is perfect for handling large loads, including bulky items like comforters and blankets. It has significantly reduced the number of loads I need to do each week. Quiet Operation: One of the standout features is how quiet it runs. Even on high settings, it’s barely noticeable, which is ideal for open-concept homes. Overall Value: At $999.99, it’s worth every penny, especially considering the energy savings and the $100 gift card promotion. I highly recommend this LG dryer to anyone looking for a high-performance, stylish, and energy-efficient appliance. It’s a fantastic investment for a modern home.

This dryer is the best one I’ve ever owned. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it always gets the job done. it has so many different drying cycles that I never even knew existed. I’ve never had any problems with it. The dryer will even tell you if there’s a duct blockage and the percentage of how much it’s blocked. once it got to 90% blocked, it wouldn’t even let me run a load of clothes for safety reasons. I had a huge blockage in my duct and I never would’ve known that without this dryer so this dryer may have even saved me from a potential house fire one day. if you’re looking for a newer dryer, that’s more on the high tech side then I would absolutely buy this one!

So far so good, got this for about 2mos ago and love how quiet this runs and how it looks on my space. The only thing I did not like about my purchase was the power cord is not included and you have to purchase and install yourself or from a professional.

The LG washer is amazing! Please dont forget to take the shipping bolts off, it happened to us and the washer sounded like it was going to break it was shaking the entire house. My husband wanted to take it back and upon reading the instructions it comes with shipping bolts that beed to be removed. LG washer is very quiet and it has awesome sounds you can program to it as well as cute images. Awesome features! It definitely is a must have!

We've been very happy with our slightly older version of this dryer (so much so that visiting family bought the same), and when we recently moved, we decided to get the newer model. This dryer and it's paired washer are solid. The washer informs the dryer of the last load settings, so the dryer automatically suggests the proper cycle. They're connected to the internet via ThinQ so I get notifications on my phone when the load is complete. I love this feature as without it, I tend to forget I have laundry in progress until hours later.

As I said, with the washer, the sleek design and touch display with the added dry cycles in the app make it much better than the previous model. I love the new steam function, and the AI drying cycle works well at time and temperature. Also, the inside light helps me see any items that were left in. It also has a unique cycle to warm blankets in the wintertime, which is a plus! Overall, I love all the new features.

Preface; replaced a set of LG front loaders that were 15+ years old, and had no reason to look to a different brand as we had very good success with LG. Debated between this and the 4000 series models, opted for the newer model, as it was basically the same price as the 4000 series. Also didn't have depth to new other brands, this unit only measures 29.75 inches deep, which is what our old unit was, so knew it would fit into laundry closet. No regrets so far, although we are only about 2 weeks into new ownership. Drying controls are all in one centered digital dial, which I wasn't sure how I'd feel about, but they are super easy to use and follow. Many pre programmed cycles, as well as the ability to create your own. Drying times are significantly better than our old unit, which, isn't surprising since they were 15 years old! But the matching washer spin cycle gets a lot more water out of the clothes than the old unit as well, which means less drying time. Yes, this is also a smart featured unit, you don't have to use those features, but if paired with your phone, you will be able to get notifications of cycles done, it will track how many cycles you've run and help monitor proper cleaning, etc, and you can set it up to actually remotely start (or restart) the unit if you aren't in the same room. Oh, and you can 'pair' it with the matching washer, and the dryer will know the approximate size of load you just washed and dry accordingly. Have only tried that once so far, but it seemed to work! Again, wasn't sure how I'd feel about having all those 'extras' but it's really kinda cool if you are into tech at all! Overall, very pleased with the dryer so far. Lint filter very easy to clean. Drying times much lower. Recommended!

This was actually the second dryer we received after the first had been dented on the front panel prior to delivery. The dryer vent was easily rerouted to exit the side vs the back and set up on the pedestals was simple enough. I worried that the nylon feet that mount to the pedestal might not hold up, but I guess there’s not much movement to justify that? During the second cycle of clothes the digital panel was working but wasn’t lit— it came back on during the next load and haven’t had the problem again and it’s been a couple weeks now. So I’m hoping the snafus are worked out of it. Beyond that, the different settings are great and my family seems to love it and I’m happy with our purchase!
