A: Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand that you’re seeing an 80% vent blockage message on your LG model DLEX5500V dryer, even though the builder has confirmed that the vent is clear. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take next: Check the Vent Hose: Ensure that the vent hose connected to the dryer is not kinked or crushed. A bent hose can restrict airflow and trigger blockage messages. Inspect the Dryer Exhaust: Make sure the exhaust vent, where the hose connects to the exterior of the home, is clear and free of obstructions. Sometimes, lint or debris can build up at this point. Clean the Lint Filter: Ensure the lint filter is clean and free of lint. A clogged lint filter can also affect the dryer’s performance. Verify Vent Installation: Confirm that the venting system is installed correctly and that all connections are secure. Improper installation can sometimes cause airflow issues. Reset the Dryer: Try resetting the dryer by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes clear false error messages. If the issue persists after these steps, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. Our team will be more than happy to assist you further and help resolve the issue. We appreciate your patience. —Renzo
A: Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG DLEX5500V dryer. We understand that the D80 error code can be an issue, especially with a long vent pipe. Given your setup with 25 feet and two 90-degree turns, airflow may be restricted, causing the error. We recommend checking and cleaning the lint filter regularly and inspecting the vent system for blockages. Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to assist you further. We appreciate your patience. —Avril
