12/30/2020 I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch with a thunderbolt port which requires an adapter to connect to the USB ports of any DVD players. It appears that not every DVD player can connect via this method, it seems there is some connection issue with some DVDs. I originally had ordered an LG DVD ultra slim portable writer SP80NB80 Which was not able to be identified by my MacBook Pro. After discussion with both LG and Apple, it sounds like it’s a hit and miss process to see what might work with this machine and the new port systems. I gave LG another try and this time ordered the super multi blade slim portable DVD writer AP70NS50. Success! Right out of the box, my laptop identified the disk Drive and I was able to trial three different DVD discs which all worked. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an Apple product that has thunderbolt Ports requiring an adapter to connect to the USB cable. I’m only 30 minutes into using this product, so I can’t recommend it based on longevity with continued use, but it is working on the front end and I am able to play DVDs, so for now I am very happy!

This is amazing. My current laptop has a built in Blu-ray burner, a 2010 Sony Vaio ( another great Best Buy purchase), only my burner needs replaced. This new LG external burner is surprisingly awesome. Really looks like the Blu-ray did! Sleek, compact design is perfect for any use! It is also Apple device compatible! I just bought it 03/26/2020, still very impressive, super value.

My new desktop computer didn’t have a DVD drive; so, I purchased this unit. I really like it’s small size. I’ve had it a few weeks and it installed and functions without issues, as one would expect. The only thing I didn’t like is the vibration noise that occurred when the DVD drive was running on top of my computer. This noise was very annoying. This problem was solved by moveing it to the top of my desk. Maybe all DVD drives would vibrate when placed on my computer. Just something to be aware of if you plan to place this unit on a surface that is not solid.

Since laptops nowadays don’t have CD drives this is a great tool for people who need to access things on discs. It’s lightweight and ready to use as soon as you plug it in.

I do love this dvd/cd reader for my MAC. I have used it only twice though. I am happy it worked to view my CT scans

I purchased this to replace a non-recognized internal DVD within my desktop. The plug-n-play worked well, was recognized by File Explorer, and copied files perfectly. Good price & very pleased.

Convenient to use. Portable. Speedy. I would recommend this product.

Nice little drive for anyone that doesn't have one built in. Slim design and easy install. I Velcro'd it to the back of the monitor and it takes up no space at all.

This product is excellent; it helps me to transfer music from cds to memory sticks In a snap. The quality Of the sound is top notch. I enjoy this product Very much and would refer it to friends.

This SuperMulti Blade Drive can copy my favorite movies and music to disc.

Came home, attached the USB, put in my DVD...Easy breezy.....works perfectly. Didn't get the sale price, but I thought it was still reasonably priced. No issues and don't expect any...!

Needed an auxiliary dvd/cd player/writer as the all in one did not have one. This was exactly what I needed and very affordable.

Great product at a reasonable price. Only requires one USB cord to record and read.

Now that the Laptops are coming out without DVD Readers and writers are very useful.

Need to get lessons at store to make better copies I enjoy the service to help me get the best out of the product very important to customer satisfaction would recommend to other people who are searching to update their computer

Well, I bought this thing on October 23 which is my birthday November 8 it's actually stop working And I thought oh, not a problem I'm gonna return it But I getting in my Best Buy cabinet and found a notice no longer returnable before November 4 I know I have beautiful piece of garbage nice

Have to try using with my new Dell computer bought recently from Best Buy.

It does good for some CDs, but not all CDs I would recommend this product to anyone, but then again, it depends on what type of CDs are you using it for because it does not read all CDs

Purchased this external dvd writer/cd player based on many helpful opinions read. It is practically silent, works flawlessly so far and is priced very fairly. It was very easy to be up and running in a few minutes and it also comes with a fair amount of software that I did download but am not positive of how often I may use it. In looking it over however that extra software appears to be useful instead of the usual Microsoft stuff that comes preloaded in everyone's pcs. I certainly would purchase this item again based on my experience to date and as long as it continues to work in the same flawless manner.
