The first and second icemakers worked fine, the problem is with best buy not ordering the required new braided steel hose for the original lg refrigerator delivery. It was installed days later after geek squad ordered it. Problems with the refrigerator doors not closing properly required ordering a replacement. The new refrigerator came without an icemaker and the delivery drivers were supposed to swap the first one into the new one. The delivery guys tried but couldnt get the icemaker apart from the first refrig without damaging it, so a complete new one was ordered. A week or so later the new one was delivered and installed by. Each visit required coordination with the day and then specifically the time that was set by them the day before, the final range of time was pretty accurate. The delivery and repair techs that came out seemed to do their best but this system took too long.

The ice machine works great. The install instructions were a bit difficult but I managed to get the job done in under an hour (probably shouldve taken 10 minutes but this was my first time). All in all good product.

Icemaker was installed with broken water feed, filled ice container. No cubes, took 3 months of daily phone calls talking to robot, finally got to a person. They said it wasn’t their problem. Blamed it on LG. Finally agreed to replace it. Installation crew barely knew what they were doing, I had to show them what to do (I had taken it apart to see broken part) finally that were able to unplug the broken part and put in new , didn’t screw it in all the way. When they pushed fridge back in, was crooked and can’t open door all the way. I’m 76 and can’t move it by myself. Totally unsatisfied with this entire process. Will never use them again!
