Customers consistently note the Color 1000 A19 Smart LED Light Bulb's impressive color range and ease of use, with many praising the user-friendly app and straightforward setup process. However, some customers reported occasional connectivity problems. A few also mentioned that the product is relatively expensive. Overall, the positive feedback on color, ease of use, and app functionality outweighs the concerns about connectivity and cost.
After getting my Smartthings V2 hub for home automation, I was looking for some smart led bulbs that was able to change colors. I was looking at the Philips Hue starter kit, but didn't like the idea that I needed to use their controller as a bridge to work with Smartthings hub. After finding out about Lifx - Color 1000 smart led bulb, and reading tons of reviews I decided to buy one to test it out myself. I was very happy with how easy it was to setup and add to my Smartthings hub. Since the Lifx - Color 1000 connects to you wifi network you do not need a controller like the Philips Hue does. For around the same price I would of paid for the Philips Hue starter kit (3 color changing bulbs and one controller) I could just order the 4 bulb pack of the Lifx - Color 1000, and get 4 bulbs and save $10. As of right now I am running 7 of the Lifx - Color 1000, 5 are used as outside lighting and they are all working great. I have the Smartthings hub automatically turn the lights on a sunset and off at sunrise. Added two photos, one at Easter were each of the lights were changing colors individually by using one of the many options that are in the Lifx app. Next after updating our landscape lighting to cool white leds, we were able to dial in the Lifx - Color 1000 white settings to 4500k (Cool Day Light), to match the cool white landscape light color. You just can't go wrong with these smart led bulbs, with brightness, to tons of color and whiteness setting and fun things to try with Lifx app.

These lights are great! I now have 3 and they are nearly perfect. They have much better color representations than the Philips Hue smart bulbs and don't require a hub to connect to function. I've had occasional hiccups where one bulb would lose connection to my wifi but overall I'm very pleased.

I love my lifx bulbs but had a couple hiccups setting them up. First the App (for IOS) allowed me to register with a typo in the email address after the @ sign. I put in .co instead of .com. This meant I had to manually reset the all bulbs which was a tedious process, you manually power cycle the bulbs till they blink red. Would be great if you could just do it in the app. Second problem I have had is integrating with my echo. At first the two struggled to communicate after the latest software though this issue has been resolved.
