I’ve had this router for almost a half year and have never had to reset it. That is amazing compared to my old Netgear routers that I had to reset almost monthly. Seems to have very good range as well.

I had the AC1200 before and it was a faithful router for 9 years, and so far this was a seamless transition. The remote access and the port forwarding is amazing. The only thing that is me being picky is the same issue with the AC1200, Takes so long to make changes on the router. Like a full 1 to 2 minutes to make minor changes. Other than that. It's just as strong as the WRT design.

The Linksys AC 1900 (aka EA 7500) works well and is simple to set up and secure. It's much closer to the speed I'm supposed to be getting. I'll be installing a Motorola MB7621 modem tomorrow, so basically the whole wireless system will be new. The Linksys EA 7500 easily broadcasts through our plaster and wire lath walls as well as concrete block. It's simple to set up provided that you have the right directions. Those that came with the device and on Linksys's website left out a couple of crucial steps. I got the correct ones from tech support and from there it was easy. I emphasize **secure**. I raised cain at Linksys over the default router username -- "admin" -- and password -- "password". Change those as soon as you can. Make the password very long and mixed. Ditto for securing modems. If you buy one as part of an overall upgrade like I did, before you even register it with the cable company, set up ridiculously complicated password and username.

Daughter required to complete senior yeta of college on line due to Covid19. Old router kept dropping out during on line classes. Bought this router on sales person recommendation. Setup was easy and noticed immediate improvement in signal strength and range. Router has flawless reliability over last four weeks and speed supports everything on line classes have required.

My old router gave out after several good years, plus it was time for a bit of an upgrade anyway. Wasn’t looking for anything too fancy or overly robust, and I came across this model. Compared with a few others in the same price range, and felt it offered the most bang for the buck. Easy setup out the box, the companion app is easy to work as well. We’re a family of 4, with just as many TV’s and streaming devices, in a 1600 sq for single story house. They’re not always running at the same time, usually just 2, plus our phones and security system. I’m running 2 secure networks, which can each carry their guest network. This helps ease the load and keep bandwidth optimal for all connections. I’ve also got 3 “priority” devices - they’ll always get the extra bandwidth they need over other connected devices. Coverage and speeds are great in all parts of my home. I would definitely recommend for most at-home needs.

I recently upgraded our internet service with Frontier to gigabit broadband, but the Arris router they provided just wasn't cutting it for the relatively small square footage of my house. The Arris router wasn't even a gigabit router and it had no antennas. So to keep everyone in my house from moaning that we had "downgraded" in service, I tried a new router. After doing a lot of research, this Linksys AC 1900 looked like the top candidate. And it was on sale for $100. I'm happy to report this is doing a great job now. Good coverage and speed (120 mbps and 4 ms ping) to all corners of the house, and everyone has stopped complaining. It was a relatively simple setup, but I did need to go into the network admin settings to get everything exactly as we wanted -- guest WiFi on two bands, secure WiFi on two bands, including the all-important 5 Ghz, with custom nomenclature.

Extremely easy to set up and provides a perfect signal from the stairwell well below my apartment. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable router that lives up to todays connectivity standards.

Great router, easy to use and set up! Extra security for the network. Great price since on sale maybe lower the price permanently since older style.

I had purchase a TP Link router 3 weeks prior to purchasing this one. I thought something was wrong with my ISP but Linksys confirmed it was just my previous router. The speeds are amazing even on the 2nd floor of my home. I work from home for a living so it's extremely important for me to have fast speed and reliable connection. I get the best of both with this router. I pay for 400 mbps with Spectrum and get 425+ mbps through WiFi. This is incredible because you'd normally get that with ethernet connections only. It took about 15 min to set it up and get online. I was happy I could set everything up through the app instead of needing to whip out my laptop. I've had zero issues since I switched to Linksys. I am very pleased and my mbps does not go down over WiFi connection time. If you are looking for a reliable router, this one is for you.
Despite their android app being pain in the bum and their insitance on using their cloud for everything once you get around the cloud stuff they work excellent

Will support speeds up to 400mbps and provide decent home coverage. Device needs to have some modern features like IP based blocking for incoming known malicious IP ranges or a more sophisticated port range blocking. Other than those few things, device is easy to setup and use.

Overall, the performance of this wireless router has been good. The signal strength and coverage is better than my previous router, and the set up was easy. The only problem I have encountered is the router crashes on a semi-regular basis, requiring me to do a hard reboot and set the whole thing up all over again. Its getting to be really annoying, and I'm not sure I would buy another Linksys product for this reason.
