The Linksys PoE injector may have damaged my modem and router. A call to Linksys did not help for information on proper configuration of the unit. I had to wait a long time before I got through to the technical support on my phone. When I did get to someone who knew about the PoE injector for a wiring diagram, that person could not explain how it is used. I gave my email address and asked them to send me a wiring diagram for installing in my mesh system. I never did receive any emails on how to install it. I returned the unit to BB.

Hi,
The Linksys LACPI30 High Power PoE Injector is a plug-and-play device. The PoE injector needs to be connected to a Powered Device or a PoE client, while the Data port doesn’t deliver power, you can connect an Ethernet device, such as an Ethernet Switch to this port.
However, we can have our Product Experts assist you further with setting up the device, and we will investigate what happened to your support experience. Feel free to share case number or phone number at [email protected] with more details including the link to this review for our reference.
Regards,
Jan

Got this little jewel to power VOIP phones. Saved about $54/adapter.
