About this product
Lip Critic's 2024 Partisan debut Hex Dealer was one of the most-hyped experimental releases of that year (InchLike the B-52s on ketamineInch -Paste) and signaled the Brooklyn band's arrival as a borderline-batshit creative force. Theft World is their next chapter, built again from the chaos of two drummers locked in psychic combat, a sampler that sounds like it was struck by lightning, and frontman Bret Kaser's paranoid preacher energy. But where Hex Dealer leapt from one absurdist vignette to the next, Theft World plays like a fully locked-in transmission. Themes orbit around the concept of theft, not just as a political force or digital dilemma, but as a surreal, emotional constant. Club rhythms and hardcore breakdowns pull as much from Tyler the Creator's 'Igor' and Korn as they do Skrillex and Soul Coughing, coming together to soundtrack a world that's constantly being striped apart and resold. Album Tracks 1. Two Lucks 2. Jackpot 3. Debt Forest 4. Talon 5. Charity Dinner 6. Drumming with Izzy 7. My Blush (Strength of the Critic) 8. Shoplifting 9. Legs in a Snare 10. Yard Sale (230 Take) 11. 200 Bottles on Eviction

Lip Critic -InchHex DealerInch / Hex Dealer is the second full-length from New York electronic punk band Lip Critic. The album is a raw patchwork of iPhone recordings, free VST samplers, synths and two live drummers. All of this has been maximized beyond it's limits, like a chorus of bass-boosted Windex bottles spraying in unison, or a washing machine filled with coins on the spin cycle. This mixture of classic punk, hardcore and electronic styles results in 12 frantic tracks of postmodern pop for the genreless future. Standard Black LP. Album Tracks 1. It's the Magic 2. Love Will Redeem You 3. The Heart 4. Bork Pelly 5. Spirit Bomber 6. Death Lurking 1. Milky Max 2. Sermon 3. I'm Alive 4. My Wife and the Goblin 5. In the Wawa (Convinced I Am God) 6. Toxin Dodger
