About this product
Recorded right before the of her Arts & Crafts instant-fan-making debut Fine But Dying, both the A-side 'Take It Back' and the B-side 'Overnight' are from local popster Liza Anne's self-released album Two. 'Take It Back' is moving, propulsive indie pop at it's finest, somehow better with the strong conviction of their message captured live. 'Overnight' starts out as a threadbare folk rock tune and compounds and builds up until, finally, the smoke clears again right before the finale, creating an impactful air around the last words sung.

The Three Friends were formed in 1954 at a time when Rock N Roll was in it's infancy. The group came together while all three members were attending New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, NY. Originally, the guys were intent upon developing a pop oriented vocal/comedy act, and had started to have some success performing in that vein. But the birth of Rock N Roll and a song about a girl named Blanche would thrust them in a different direction. This is the original version of their massive East-Coast hit together with 3 of their other hits from the same period.
