About this product
Style-wise, it's incredibly different, going back to thinking about guitars and guitar sounds. Obviously you have to take into consideration things like percussive elements such as drums, which I haven't been using in my other projects; but this is the mindset that makes up Loop. So says Robert Hampson, the indefatigable visionary behind inspirational sonic architects Loop, whose eagerly anticipated fourth LP Sonancy (Latin for Inchto create noiseInch) is the perfect document for these strange times. Dynamic, dystopian, righteously angry and unashamedly Loop-ian, it's an album that marks a vital re-emergence for Hampson and Co. Formed in South London in the mid-1980s, Loop blazed a trail with their potent mix of motorik beats and heavy guitar riffs, recording a trio of brilliant albums that set the indie charts alight before imploding in 1990 after the of album number three, A Gilded Eternity. As critics enthused at the time, Loop were the sound of Suicide jamming with the Stooges aboard a spaceship built by Hawkwind and piloted by CAN. They were post-psychedelic, pre-shoegaze figureheads in a world of anodyne pop jangle and baggy rhythms, and even their closest contemporaries like Spacemen 3 and My Bloody Valentine didn't plough such a distinctive furrow as theirs.

(ref the 3 x 7Inch set Sevens released 2020)Each side of this 3LP set has one of the 12Inchs in full, as well as the promo only Live 12-inch Prisma Uber Europa. The 12-inch cover of each LP has the relevant sleeve on each side to recreate the original sleeve image, and each 12-inch side has labels as close to the original designs as possible. Hear Loop expand their sound from the Stooges / Velvets / garage pyschout of 16 Dreams, into the Spinning era and then develop their motorik fuzzed-out nihilistic pummel through the Collision and Black Sun EPs to finish this set with the Arc-Lite side, possibly Loop at their most visceral. Unable to be pigeon holed like most bands of this time, their live shows also wiped the floor with everyone as evidenced on the Prisma Uber Europa 12Inch. Not reissued on vinyl when first remastered, now it's time. PLAY LOUD

Acknowledged as one of the finest contemporary composers, Barcelona-born Leonardo Balada has written a series of Caprichos, suite-like pieces that illustrate the range of his invention. Fusing traditional and contemporary elements, they generate a symbiosis between the ethnic and the avant-garde, as in 'Caprichos No. 7 Fantasies of 'La Tarara' in which an Andalusian folk melody is transformed into a surrealist canvas, and in the vividly descriptive dissonance of 'Caprichos No. 6. Ballet City' is a youthful work, reflecting Balada's early enthusiasm for neo-classicism. Ensemble Col legno is a Valencian group dedicated to the interpretation of music for chamber orchestra and the performance of new compositions. Conducted by Robert Ferrer since it's foundation in 2006, Ensemble Col legno has performed across Spain and has recently started projects in Europe. The ensemble has performed 30 world premieres of works by living composers, as well as several premieres in Spain.
