Lorna Shore - I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2022 . Pain Remains is the sound of a band that has honed their sound and identity. From the opening choral chants and orchestration (composed by guitarist Andrew O'Connor) of 'Welcome Back, O' Sleeping Dreamer' straight into labyrinth of musical twists, turns, technicalities and raw emotion at the core of tracks like 'Sun Eater' or 'Soulless Existence' and culminating in the 'Pain Remains'-trilogy, Lorna Shore has woven together a sprawling document of ambition, soul and ability that few can match. It also is the sound of Lorna Shore breaking out of any sort of categorization and stepping into their own as a great extreme metal band. With 'Pain Remains', Lorna Shore has truly arrived. 'That's been the idea and the vision for the band for years,' states Adam. 'We've never wanted to be limited or meet someone's expectations of what we're supposed to be.' Album Tracks 1. When the going gets tough, metal gets heavier. Sylosis have always been devoted to the fine art of breaking necks, but in recent times, the urgency of their mission has grown exponentially. Still surfing on a wave of acclaim and the effusive fan response to their last album, 2023's A Sign Of Things To Come, Josh Middleton's virtuoso wrecking crew are poised to their latest and best album, The New Flesh. A towering testament to destructive riffing, incisive melody and refined brute force, the band's seventh full-length offering is a powerful showcase for the state of Sylosis in 2025 lethal, uncompromising, and avowedly metal as all hell. Album Tracks 1. Beneath the Surface 2. Erased 3. All Glory, No Valour 4. Lacerations 5. Mirror Mirror 6. Spared from the Guillotine 7. Adorn My Throne 8. New Flesh 9. Everywhere at Once 10. And now, is the best time to descent into the sonic depths of IMMOLATION as their newest opus, mixed and mastered by long-time collaborator Zack Ohren, offers a muscular production that captures the band in it's most fiery and brooding moments alike.
