Ready or Not was the debut solo album by Lou Gramm (the great vocalist ex Black Sheep and Foreigner and pre Shadow King). His voice is lovely warm and nervous, easily one of the best vocalist in AOR. He and co-writer Bruce Turgon penned some mighty good tunes here, these ten tunes mostly pound and growl with intensity. The opening songs are strong and catchy. The title track starts things off with blasts of distorted, chunking power chords with a rip-roaring guitar solo that sets up Gramm's signature scream. It's followed up by InchHeartacheInch, a song that places a slapping drumbeat out in front of a very tasteful, but very 1980's synth. These tracks lay the groundwork for the album's highlight, InchMidnight BlueInch, the kind of song that I long to hear become mainstream once again. InchTimeInch features a thumping verse that leads into a sing-along chorus. Featuring Bruce Turgon on bass, Phil Ashley on keyboards, Nils Lofgren on guitars. Album Tracks 1. Ready or Not 2. Heartache 3. Midnight Blue 4. Time 5. If I Don't Have You 6. She S Got to Know 7. Arrow Thru Your Heart 8. Until I Make You Mine 9. Chain of Love 10. Lover Come Back

Vinyl LP pressing. 2025 . Produced by Gene Walker and mixed by Andy Wallace and Dan Malsch, Ghost's sixth psalm, Skeletá, is it's most unflinchingly introspective work to date. Where previous albums dealt largely with chronicling and/or observing outward facing subject matter - such as IMPERA's meditations on the rise and fall of empires and it's predecessor Prequelle's evocations of the ravages of era-defining plagues - Skeletá's lyrics render the distinct individual emotional vistas of each of it's 10 songs in one-on-one fashion, at times as if in a dialogue with oneself in a mirror. The end result is a singular collection of timeless, universal sentiments, all filtered through a prism of a uniquely personal point of view. Album Tracks 1. Peacefield 2. Lachryma 3. Satanized 4. Guiding Lights 5. De Profundis Borealis 1. Cenotaph 2. Missilia Amori 3. Marks of the Evil One 4. Umbra 5. Excelsis

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. This LP version comes pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Album Tracks 1. My Own Summer (Shove It) 2. Lhabia 3. Mascara 4. Around the Fur 5. Rickets 6. Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) 7. Lotion 8.
