About this product

Seelie Court - the world's premier tag for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents Esse Quam Videri. Lifeblud created a unique style of folk-inflected progressive rock acting as a serene vehicle for the poetic lyrics. An air of resignation is palpable in the delivery, as is a sense of awe in the face of Nature's majesty - especially in Oakenshade and the astonishingly beautiful hymn, Waxing of the Moon. These are Lifeblud's earliest surviving recordings, carefully restored from an excellent condition acetate in New Zealand, the other copy that still exists is in very poor condition, in an Austrian collection. Lifeblud made a second acetate LP also at Trusound (later SRT) in late 1970 which remains lost (if anyone has it, please contact us). Studio tapes from 1971 will be forthcoming as will a live recording, currently undergoing restoration. This later material includes songs from Lifeblud's heavier phase, which approaches High Tide territory. Album Tracks 1. Of Hatred's Hand 2. The Journey Home 3. Tenement 4. Eclipse 5. Oakenshade 6. So Be It 7. Rescue 8. Raven's Wing 9. Bridge 10. Waxing of the Moon

Seelie Court - the world's premier tag for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents Lifeblud, 1973-1978. After Lifeblud's 1969-1972 period of poetic Progressive Rock, main man Roger Knott looked back into the Golden Age of Rock n Roll and between 1973-1978 created a group of songs heavily informed by the classic pop of the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, The Beatles and with a tinge of British Psychedelic Pop. The 34 songs preserved on this Double CD were unreleased until now, and catch that brief moment of Pub Rock that quickly morphed into Punk. Able assistance is provided by members of Ducks Deluxe and The Fixx. Album Tracks 1. Child of the Earth 2. Falling Out of Love 3. Field Day 4. Jasper the Explorer 5. Living at the Same Address 6. Lufeblud - Live At Bowes Lyon House 1971 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Seelie Court - the world's premier tag for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents a Lifeblud gig played on Sunday, November 7th 1971, at Bowes Lyon House, Stevenage, as support act to the band Stray. The gig was promoted by the London Colney-based Words agency run by promoter Barry Clarke. The source cassette was in the possession of drummer Charlie Chandler and was recorded on his Philips portable cassette recorder from a vantage point in the hall. The cassette bears the inscription 'Rob, Brian, Rog & Me, Sound - Scott, Recording - Dan', which confirms Lifeblud's line-up. Scott and Dan were roadie/luthier Gordon 'Scott' Adams and bassist friend Dan K. Brown, latterly of The Fixx. By this time, violinist Robin Williams' appearances with the band had become somewhat sporadic due to his orchestral and sessions commitments, and he was not present on this occasion. Bowes Lyon House (the word 'House' now replaced by 'Centre') had opened as a Youth and Community Centre in 1965, with a main hall big enough for live music and many well-known acts, including The Who on the cusp of stardom in June 1965, played there over the next three decades. Album Tracks 1. City Wheels 2. Tenement 3. The Journey Home 4. So Be It 5. Pathway 6. Echoes in Time 7. Prophecy 8. Fossil on the Beach 9. Lifeblud Jam 10. Man of War

Ulfud - Of Existential Distortion - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Bred in the land of ice and fire, Úlfúð are the latest addition to Dark Descent's flawless, ever-diversifying roster. Championing their personal blend of black and death metal (with emphasis on the former), the band's debut album Of Existential Distortion uniquely captures the desolate vastness of the volcanic wastelands like only Icelanders can. Úlfúð's first full-length is a masterclass in songcraft, showcasing a stunning balance of entrancing atmosphere, haunting melody, and deathless violence. Artist Bahrull Marta was summoned to conjure the breath-taking artwork, whilst photographs by Alma Líf Þorsteinsdóttir adorn the inlay with visions of each offering.InchWe are extremely excited to be releasing our first full-length album with Dark Descent! This album heralds our entity and declares our intent; to immerse you in our ritual of catharsis and cacophony! We cannot wait to share our music with you. The time is nigh!InchÚlfúð's (pronounced Inchool-woothInch, meaning animosity or hostility) were formed in early 2015 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
