Lula Reed - Blue & Moody - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Exhaling the ashes from acrimony, Totaled materialized in 2017 and recorded it's ferociously blackened-hardcore debut album Lament. While lyrically ruminating in the abstract emptiness of the impervious void and grappling with a paradoxical duality, the audial gloom of the album conjures sorrowing burial strings that furiously discharge a punishing resonance, all wrought with crushing despair, depression, and scavenging hopelessness. Pummeling blasts and d-beats pound into orbiting shadows of pixelated black, beneath a pulverizing dense nihilistic bass distorted into a mournful funeral offering. Here lies a digested celestial nothingness, a symphony frozen in a cyclical noose, gnawed by the bacterial ether.

Double 180gm vinyl LP in gatefold sleeve. Over the course of last year, British enigma Nhor released four separate Wildflowers cassette tapes in very limited quantities, each depicting one of the four seasons. On these recordings, Nhor, like nature itself, does not need raw volume to make himself heard. The pauses are just as important as the single notes and the ethereal piano chords feel like brushstrokes on small vignettes. Prophecy Productions/Lupus Lounge have compiled Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter together with an additional unreleased track for each season. Thus, Wildflowers will bloom into it's full glory on gatefold double vinyl with an A2 poster - 100 minutes of music distilled from the 365 days of the year. InchWildflowers are beautiful things,Inch says Nhor, Inchblooming for such fleeting spells, once in a year. My music feels more akin to an idea, thought, or a moment lost in dreamy haze than it does to a song. It is as fleeting as wildflowers, a moment that falls away as soon as it is perceived. I wanted to hear how the seasons impacted on my emotions and feelings. It began as a private conversation between myself and the landscapes that surround me. This has bestowed a somnolent nature to the album, and a gentle loneliness that can be found in those moments, as moonlight softly awakens wildflowers. I am very proud to be able to share them with you now. As always, my music should be listened to quietly, with patience, and alone.Inch
