Luna - Pup Tent - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Described by one critic upon it's 1975 on Epic as 'the soundtrack to a musical that never took place', Orchestra Luna is the only album by this highly-original Boston (USA)- based art rock act which converged glam rock with Vaudeville and the glory days of early Hollywood musicals to grand, highly theatrical (and often camp) effect. Big budget meant a full orchestra and the exceptional production talents of Rupert Holmes and Jeffery Lesser. The resulting cocktail takes in Rocky Horror and Bonzo Dog by way of Sailor and Cockney Rebel with a twist of Roxy Music (who the band supported on the latter's contemporary US tour). Orchestra Luna is a glorious and lavish one-off A true 'original' - made at a time when the sky was the limit and anything went. Album Tracks 1. Were You Dancin' on Paper 2. Miss Pamela 3. Little Sam 4. Heart 5. Love Is Not Enough 6. Boy Scouts 7. Fay Wray 8. But One 9. Doris Dreams

Armed with a dreamy brand of 90s pop, Luna's second full length album, titled Bewitched, is an enthralling experience, if only for the emotional contradictions it's bound to cause. The witty breakup song InchCalifornia (All the Way)Inch opens the album on a high point, and that quality level is maintained throughout the album. Album Tracks 1. California (All the Way) 2. Tiger Lily 3. Friendly Advice 4. Bewitched 5. This Time Around 6. Great Jones Street 7. Going Home 8. Into the Fold 9. I Know You Tried 10. Sleeping Pill
