About this product

A Thirst for Summer Rain is the eighth full-length album of Lustre - the Swedish apotheosis of ambient black metal. As the initial waves of soothing keyboards come rolling in, it is immediately clear that Lustre still adheres to it's musical tradition of dreamlike minimalism. However, when the remaining instruments enter the picture, the soundscape in which they are framed is likely to come as quite the surprise for long-time followers of the band. InchA Thirst for Summer RainInch is the first of Nachtzeit's releases to have been recorded, mixed, and mastered in a professional studio - a move which grants the album a depth previously unseen in Lustre. Yet make no mistake, all the elements that brought the project to widespread prominence are firmly in place. InchA Thirst for Summer RainInch has a core of warm, ethereal ambience, but is coated in the eerie and harrowing darkness of 90s black metal. Album Tracks 1. Quiescence 2. Faith 3. Thirst 4. Alleviation

2020 . Lustre is the musical project of Henrik Sunding who goes under the pseudonym Nachtzeit. Lustre began in 2008 after the disolution of The Burning. Prior to both, Sunding also used to be a drummer of the band Hypothermia. Unlike most black metal artists, Lustre uses guitars and vocals as background instruments and instead uses keyboards and synths as the primary instrument. Lustre's lyrical themes include nature, darkness, mysticism, and spirituality. Album Tracks 1. Part 1 (Eyes Like Stars) 2. Part 2 (A Silent Tale) 3. Part 3 (Like Music in the Night) 4. Part 4 (The Empty Black) 5. Part 5 (The Ashes of Light) 6. Part 6 (Lamentation at Dawn)

Lustre's debut album InchNight SpiritInch opened many eyes and ears when it's pioneering dark metal sound was heard for the first time in 2009. Now getting a long-awaited reissue through Nordvis, InchNight SpiritInch is a transporting journey through the ethereal fields and vast expanse of starlit nocturnal skies. The cavernous ambience created by lone mastermind Nachtzeit's synths spawns a thick aura around the raw yet melodic metal foundation, like a mesmerizing moon glow around the amorphous shades of misty woods, with an ominous feeling of being drawn further in by the spirits of the night. Combining this haunting atmosphere with a medieval phantasmagoric feel and harsh blackened metal, InchNight SpiritInch broke new ground and opened a new portal in the pantheon of somber music. With both of the album's songs clocking in at over 20 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to sink into the wonderful yet chilling world of Lustre. Let the cold winds embrace you, and you'll long for nothing more. Album Tracks 1. Night Spirit Part 1 2. Night Spirit Part 2

Re- of Swedish Lustre's second album InchA Glimpse of GloryInch on CD and coloured vinyl. Long-since sold out and highly sought after - this classic is being treated to a proper packaging. The new cover artwork comes courtesy of Joan Llopis Doménech, the Valencian illustrator who made the amazing piece that adorns the InchNight SpiritInch re-issue from 2021.Lustre is one of Nordvis' oldest and still-running collaborations. We discovered this band with InchNight SpiritInch, and so had high expectations when InchA Glimpse of GloryInch came out in 2010. For anyone who appreciated the debut, this was a treat. Filled to the brim with the same atmosphere-driven lo-fi black metal as the first the sound which has now become characteristic for Lustre. Majestic soundscapes built on hypnosis-inducing repetition, tastefully curated with various theatrical elements in the form of nature samples. Album Tracks 1. This Mighty Sight 2. Lunar Light 3. Amongst the Trees
