Lustre - Night Spirit - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2020 . Lustre is the musical project of Henrik Sunding who goes under the pseudonym Nachtzeit. Lustre began in 2008 after the disolution of The Burning. Prior to both, Sunding also used to be a drummer of the band Hypothermia. Unlike most black metal artists, Lustre uses guitars and vocals as background instruments and instead uses keyboards and synths as the primary instrument. Lustre's lyrical themes include nature, darkness, mysticism, and spirituality. Album Tracks 1. Part 1 (Eyes Like Stars) 2. Part 2 (A Silent Tale) 3. Part 3 (Like Music in the Night) 4. Part 4 (The Empty Black) 5. Part 5 (The Ashes of Light) 6. Part 6 (Lamentation at Dawn)

A Thirst for Summer Rain is the eighth full-length album of Lustre - the Swedish apotheosis of ambient black metal. As the initial waves of soothing keyboards come rolling in, it is immediately clear that Lustre still adheres to it's musical tradition of dreamlike minimalism. However, when the remaining instruments enter the picture, the soundscape in which they are framed is likely to come as quite the surprise for long-time followers of the band. InchA Thirst for Summer RainInch is the first of Nachtzeit's releases to have been recorded, mixed, and mastered in a professional studio - a move which grants the album a depth previously unseen in Lustre. Yet make no mistake, all the elements that brought the project to widespread prominence are firmly in place. InchA Thirst for Summer RainInch has a core of warm, ethereal ambience, but is coated in the eerie and harrowing darkness of 90s black metal. Album Tracks 1. Quiescence 2. Faith 3. Thirst 4. Alleviation
