Macy Gray's debut album On How Life Is was released in 1999 and definitely could be called one of the most impressive R&B/Soul debuts. By selling seven million records worldwide it reached a wide audience and received airplay beyond the genre-specific stations. The single InchI TryInch became a massive hit and reached the number one spot in Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand. The album was, besides a commerical success, also very popular among critics. It was mostly praised for it's distinctive and outstanding style, which felt like a breath of fresh air in the genre. The song InchI TryInch, eventually won the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2001. Parachutes (clear EcoRecord LP) Parachutes by Coldplay is now available on clear EcoRecord. Each injection-moulded LP is made entirely from, on average, nine recycled plastic bottles. EcoRecord sounds and looks as great as a traditional vinyl record, but it's been manufactured using 100% recycled PET, instead of PVC. Injection moulding technology has energy savings of up to 85% compared to the traditional vinyl process. Parachutes is the 2000 debut album by Coldplay.
