Q: is this a disk or digital download. And do you need steam to play on your laptop?
A: It's a box with a code in it, requires Origin (EA's version of steam) to activate and install it
Q: Is it a one time download for the pc or is it a monthly charge
A: One time download that lets you access Origin/EA's servers free. You can purchase online items, but that is the only thing extra.
Q: Does the physical version of come with a disc? Or something else?
A: It’s a digital download...no disk included, just a case. Kind of stupid.
A: I have always used the Microsoft XBOX 360 controller for PC. It comes in wired or wireless versions and is only $30. I use the corded version which has a 6' cord and it makes it like playing on a console.
