being an old Mario strikers fan got me really exited when I heard about this launch, got my physical copy on the launching day with no hassle. the game is great and you can feel the nostalgia but also the new features at the same time, the gameplaying is great, the graphics are awesome, and the controls are a little difficult at the beginning but once you got it it's great, the price well oh well as any Nintendo game the prices are over the roof the game is ok but Nintendo needs to chill with the prices, especially because they do not offer any aggregated value with the game that after a while its repetitive.

This game is a massive disappointment because of the lack of content it provides. There’s no story mode, no jersey or club customization options, an extremely limited roster of characters, and only a SINGLE unlockable gear set in the entire game. The “Cup Battles,” which is basically the only single player option this game provides can be beaten in a night and then the game gives you no incentive to continue playing after that (I’ll include a photo of the completion screen as proof that I both gave the game a fair chance and can confirm the lack of content it provided). I don’t understand the 5 star reviews. I bought this game half off for a Black Friday sale at $30 and I still feel like I overpaid for it by $20. Save your money, there’s much better games out there.

I have not played it, it is my son Christmas gift so I’m exited to try it with him soon. Based on what it shows on the back seems to be fun.

I had high hopes for Battle League, but the game content is lackluster, Nintendo launched this gake with barely any content, playing online is limited and doesnt allow 4 consoles to connect at the same time and play as a team. Overall, one of my biggest dissapointments this year

I was so excited about the new Mario Strikers game, after growing up playing the previous titles on the GameCube and Wii. Content wise there’s not a lot to do. Not a lot of Characters but Nintendo is providing free updates and has already expanded the roster. Gameplay itself is probably the best it has ever been. Some good changes include: - being able to steal lob passes - striker orb to limit super strikes - charging up tackles - being able to hit to boost your own teammates The gameplay is so fluid and probably the best aspect of this game, just don’t expect a lot of content. Also I’d highly recommend playing with family/friends as a party game. I have played with up to 8 players and the game was a blast!

The gameplay is on this game is satisfying and addicting! It’s easy to learn and pick up but challenging to master. However, I’m giving it 3 stars due to the lack of content. There’s only 10 characters in the game, 5 levels, and only three game modes: Cup mode, Quick mode, and Club mode. Cup mode is pointless because you don’t unlock anything except coins to purchase gear. And Club mode is lacking due to the inability to play with 4 friends on 4 different consoles. Online mode is basically a couch multiplayer game if you want to 4 player experience. Again, the gameplay itself is amazing, it’s just the content that’s lackluster. Although early data mine reports show more free content is on its way (10 additional characters), It’s still a shame for those who buy the physical version that decades from now will be bare bones unless you download updates. I recommend this game as digital or at a discounted price.

Overall a good game, I am sure it would be a much better if it offered more single player challenges/storyline. The Cup games are fun at first but get significantly frustrating. The difficulty jumps drastically in the Galactic Cups which makes for an extremely aggravating experience. The graphics and the hyper strikes are exciting but lose their novelty eventually. The value of this game, I believe, is lost for those looking for an extensive single player game.

As a longtime fan of the series who has been waiting for a new installment for many years, it pains me to have to give this game anything other than a glowing review. Unfortunately, there is barely any content, and the content that is present is lackluster. As expected, there is no story mode, but this is a party game so that's understandable. The only options are quick match, cup battles, online play, and a team-based online mode. While the original game on GameCube has 4 difficulty settings, this game only has 2: braindead and ridiculous. The normal AI doesn't even try, so every game ends in a 10-0 victory at minimum. The galactic difficulty is so blatantly unfair that it isn't even worth playing. The AI reads inputs, and if you're winning then the game conveniently gives your opponents a few quick lazy goals to keep them in the game and ultimately give them an undeserved win. Victories feel like you're winning in spite of the game rather than because you actually earned the win. This is the only content in the game with any sort of progression (beating cups to earn trophies and coins to buy gear), and it isn't fun in the slightest. As a result, I can't recommend the game to any solo player for its current price tag of $60. With all that being said, playing the game with friends is pretty fun, and the gameplay mechanics are very faithful to past installments which is a huge plus. I do still recommend the game, but ONLY if you're going to play local or online co-op with friends. Other than that, stay away.
