About this product
Vinyl LP pressing. 2020 album from the singer/songwriter. Says Mark, InchMy aptly-titled 12th solo record wrestles with the questions we encounter in the middle, the certain point in life when you reflect on your hopes and dreams and what you thought were certainties. It mines the same gritty yet soulful territory as John Hiatt's Bring The Family or Bonnie Raitt's Nick Of Time, contemplating the delicate tension between love and commitment, faith and family, disillusionment and hope. But it isn't a confession from the therapist's couch, it's rock 'n roll, and I'm happily taking my cues from heroes like Petty and Prine.Inch

Vinyl LP pressing. 2023 album from the indie folk band.
This third collaboration between Americana pioneer Mark Olson (Jayhawks) and Norwegian singer/multi-instrumentalist Ingunn Ringvold mines a Death Valley isolation chamber folk/pop sound awash with dramatic darkness and vivid light. While continuing along the Americana-cobbled roads they took on their first two albums, the husband-and-wife duo here explore lesser traveled musical territories here. The album sounds like you are out in the desert all alone, remembering childhood experiences and music and the joy took place. Says Olson, InchThe writing of the new music is the desert I long to return to. This valley of sounds is where I really want to be and what takes up the most time in my consciousness.Inch In 1985, Olson founded the Jayhawks and was a principal songwriter, singer and guitarist for the band's first four albums. THe LP is pressed on 180 gram vinyl
