Mars Attacks! (30th Anniversary Steelbook) - 4K Blu-Ray [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray]

Tim Burton's 1996 satire 'Mars Attacks!' plays like a pulp comic that learned how to sneer. Inspired by the infamous trading cards, the film imagines Earth besieged by cackling Martians whose idea of diplomacy involves vaporizing landmarks and humiliating humanity's leaders. Jack Nicholson pulls double duty as both president and Vegas hustler, while a gleefully overqualified cast-Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, Michael J. Fox, Glenn Close, and others-embraces the joke. Burton directs with pop-art menace, staging global destruction as a warped cartoon. This special edition includes collectible art cards and two double-sided posters, making it a fitting shrine to one of Burton's most mischievous films.

No one on Earth, from the U.S. President (Jack Nicholson) to singer Tom Jones, is safe when an armada of flying saucers arrives and skeletal, bulbous-headed beings from Mars launch an all-out war, blasting Congress, destroying world landmarks, and having a good laugh in the process. Director Tim Burton's wickedly funny sci-fi romp, based on the infamous '60s trading cards, features an all-star cast, including Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, Michael J. Fox, and Rod Steiger. 105 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby Atmos TrueHD, Dolby Digital 5.1, French; bonus footage.

In this second fun family frightfest inspired by the R.L. Stine tales, ambitious young junk haulers Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor) and Sam (Caleel Harris) agree to clear out a creepy old house. Unfortunately, the first thing they uncrate is Slappy, the evil ventriloquist's dummy... and he's out to resurrect the monsters of the InchGoosebumpsInch mythos and terrorize the town! Can Stine (Jack Black) help bail the kids out? Madison Iseman, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Chris Parnell, Ken Jeong also star. 90 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.
