Marta Tchai - Eclipse - VINYL LP

The cult classic returns - freshly remastered and pressed to high-quality 180g vinyl for the first time in decades. Originally released in 1974, Pinball marked the debut of actor-turned-singer-songwriter Brian Protheroe. Fusing baroque pop, soft rock, and the wry introspection of early '70s singer-songwriters, the album earned critical acclaim and cult devotion, largely on the strength of it's title track - the haunting, theatrical ballad 'Pinball' - a UK Top 30 hit that remains one of the decade's most singular singles. This definitive reissue has been meticulously remastered from the original tapes, bringing new depth and warmth to Protheroe's rich arrangements and velvet vocals. The album's production - a rich, cinematic mix of strings, woodwinds, piano, and understated rock instrumentation - shines more than ever in this new pressing. For fans of Scott Walker, Harry Nilsson and Al Stewart, the record has been an influence on legendary artists such as Noel Gallagher, Morrissey and Paul Weller with the latter covering the album's title track for his forthcoming covers record. Chrysalis Red Series is a new series offering a deep dive into the forgotten corners of our catalogue. Unearthing overlooked masterpieces, cult classics, and genre-defying oddities that deserve a reappraisal or a proper introduction.Pinball [Chrysalis Red Series] Available on vinyl for the first time since the original . One little pandemic didn't stop them, so they dug in with remote recordings and produced eight new singles accompanied by wildly creative videos. 11 x 11 comprises those eight singles plus three brand new tracks. Portland, Oregon's Miss Rayon was started by Eric Sabatino as a solo recording project, but soon after putting the finishing touches on a three-song ep, Sabatino recruited bassist Jenny Logan and drummer Hannah Blilie to form a trio. Between them, the members of Miss Rayon have done time in The Gossip, Summer Cannibals, Cat Hoch Band, and Deathlist, among others. Residing somewhere on the spectrum between New York no wave and Manchester post-punk, one can hear influences as broad as Sonic Youth, Yoko Ono, ESG and Magazine.
