I love the range of the Martin Logan motion line. Bought these to upgrade my system, moved my old Martin Logan towers to the back and put these up front. They do a great job. Next upgrade will be adding a sub. That's their only weakness they do not have a powerful base, but they are meant to work with a subwoofer so I can't even call it a weakness.

I love these speakers. The sound is astonishingly clear in the upper ranges and the lower end delivers plenty of bass without being "boomy." In fact, I leave the tone controls on my NAD preamp defeated; there's no need to tinker with it. I considered the larger M40i's, but they were too tall for the space and - as it turns out - these are just fine. I have had excellent luck with a MartinLogan 5.1 surround sound system, and these reinforce my already-positive view of their products. By the way, I did not use the spikes, preferring the hemispherical "bumpers" to protect the floor.

Highs are very sharp and brilliant. Base has a lot of punch behind it. My LPs have never sounded so good.

Excellent speakers. The highs and mid-range are simply great. The smaller woofers are nice but don't produce the low end I like so I added a 10" Polk sub. Now the system sounds incredible. Not for very large rooms, however, in my medium size room they rock. Way more volume and sound then anyone could possibly need. The neighbors don't need to hear everything either. Nice size, they look great in my room. Pushing them with Arcan SN20 amp.

I have always just purchased the latest Bose products and thought I had the best of the best Well, I’m so ply blown away. While I got them on sale, I’m now a massive fan of the brand and am already looking for reasons to buy more. They sound amazing, look super high end, are small, but in the best way—oh and did I mention that I’m hearing music and movies in a whole new way? If you’ve been considering stepping up, leap! You won’t regret it.

Got a set of these for movie room/office and love them, they put out amazing sound. Definitely worth buying for movies or listening to music. Highly recommend

I finally stepped up and bought the speakers I have wanted for several years. Had a lightning strike which took out most of my old home theater system so I needed to get a new receiver. While shopping I snagged these speakers which were on clearance. I ended up buying the open box floor models off the Magnolia store demo room. I originally bought these two Motion 20 floor speakers and they sounded amazing but wanted the Motion 40 Models so I found two at another Magnolia store and returned my Motion 20 speakers and purchased these speakers. I got a better deal on these than the Motion 20 speakers too. Paid $360.00 each and they look brand new. Happy I made this purchase and now I feel I truly have some high quality speakers. I already owned a MartinLogan center and subwoofer. I also bought four Motion 30 bookshelf speakers to replace my old Def Tech speakers so now I have a 7.1 system with all MartinLogan speakers. They were on clearance for $213.00 each and they also sound amazing.

For a speaker of its size, the performance is commendable, more of a warm sound, great for movies but be wary its a 4 impedance speaker though it is compatible with 6 & 8 impedance AVR, Stereo or whatever you’re powering it with, according to the specification. Overall it is a well built speaker with a good sound.

I was using Mirage bookshelf speakers with my Sonos amp, as soon as I switched to Martin Logan Motion 20i I could hear the clarity in sound reproduction. They are excellent speakers for causal music listening but will need a subwoofer. This is an outgoing model.

These $999 speakers are a nice sound but they are not very loud. I am not an audiophile so I bought these speakers thinking $999 must be better than the $ 150-floor speakers I bought from Energy but my cheaper Energy speakers are filling my room with thunderous sound while these speakers send a softer cleaner tremble as I set them as rear surround. For the price I am not exactly impressed but maybe If i was a audiophile I would know what I am talking about.

Great speakers for the open box discount I got (give open box a chance). Sound quality is really great with good depth and overall just great. My first hi fi style speakers. Where it lacks a bit is that the perfect listening position is a little tight. If you’re not in middle of the couch you can notice a the speakers don’t hit quite as well (still really good though).

I used to listen to alot of different high end speakers and what struck me about these Martin Logans was how good it did everything without any particular weaknesses or flaws. Highly recommended!
