I'm still at the beginning, but so far the game is great! The graphics are top notch, but the load times is bad.

Thanks Best Buy for delivering this game a day before launch day 9/4/2020! Already started the campaign and absolutely enjoy this game! The preorder also included a $10 best buy credit and a limited edition Steel case which was shipped separate and didn't come in the mail yet. The game was only 45GB to install and only had a 8.6 GB update which is way less than other video games.

Not what I expected but I’m still enjoying it. Would recommend to a younger kid though.

Firstly, storyline, graphics, and character build are great. I was hoping for a more open world type game but wasn't immediately turned away by the level selection process. That is until I started to realize it's the same 8 to 10 levels but with slight changes like time of day or the forest is on fire. But, I looked past all this and was having a great amount of fun developing my team. Unfortunately, with the amount of glitches and excessive load times it makes the game almost unplayable. It's a great concept for a game but poorly executed, it feels like it was extremely rushed to release.

Marvel's Avengers for Xbox One and Xbox Series X brings the iconic superheroes from the Marvel universe to life in an action-packed gaming experience. The game combines a compelling narrative with thrilling combat, allowing players to step into the shoes of their favorite Avengers. The graphics are visually impressive, showcasing the superheroes and their abilities in stunning detail. The story-driven campaign keeps players engaged as they unravel the plot and face various challenges. The ability to assemble a team of Avengers, each with unique skills, adds depth to the gameplay and encourages strategic thinking.

TL;DR - If you are familiar with the Ultimate Alliance games and thought, "Man, I wish there was a Marvel game similar to this, but full on AAA style with better graphics and not a top-down button-masher for combat," then you'll probably enjoy this game. Story pulls from the many years of comic history, and while there are currently only the six launch characters they will be adding many more and all will be free to download. That being said, the combat can still be a little button-mashing, but various mechanics like dodging, parrying, etc, do help add some variety to it, and it might not be the easiest for some to get the hang of since each character has slightly different combat controls. Like most major titles, its got its share of launch glitches and graphical issues that are currently being patched out. It also is heavily an RPG, which is nice but can be overwhelming if you don't normally play those style of games. So be prepared for a LOT of gear, stat management, resource management, etc. Breakdown below Pros: Story - I am many hours into this main campaign and have absolutely loved the main quests and side quests. I feel they have done a great job capturing the characters and creating a world that is inspired by comics. There are also a ton of easter eggs, both comic and movie inspired. I was a Kamala fan before this game, so I will admit I might be slightly bias since she is an key part of the story. Play style - Each character plays differently, but they did a decent attempt at making the core controls as similar as possible. It takes a little getting use to, but eventually it all clicks. There is also a TON of gear and stats to manage so you can always tweak stuff. Cosmetics only - There are microtransactions, but they are thus far only for cosmetic outfits, nameplates, and emotes. You can earn some of the premium currency by completing daily/weekly challenges (unique to each character), and unlocking rewards on their hero card which also include nameplates, outfits, and emotes. It's obviously not a lot, but they have stated it is enough that if they're saved you can use them to unlock the premium challenge cards for future characters (they'll have a free challenge card too it sounds like). Expansion - The Devs have stated each post-launch hero will be free to download, and it appears each hero comes with their own added story missions as well. I am also a huge Hawkeye fan, both for Kate and Clint, so I am very excited to see Kate come to the game soon. Possible drawbacks for some: Combat can get overwhelming - While the controls are as unified as they can be while giving each character their unique style, the combat itself can sometimes get overwhelming, particularly when you are surrounded by enemies and/or playing on a higher difficulty. Graphical errors - Personally, I have not encountered too many, but those that have shown up have mostly been during cutscenes. It is a massive game, and they have been putting out updates, so hopefully any potential ones out there will get taken care of. Zero AI control - The game can be played without going into matchmaking or playing with friends, and the AIs have so far been ok in combat and will revive you if you're downed. However, there currently doesn't seem to be a way to give orders or apply any sort of tactics to combat when the other three characters are AI controlled. If there is, I missed it as it wasn't apparent during the tutorial. Revists - If you're someone who wants every level to be unique, you'll get that with the main quest line but so far a lot of the side missions will incorporate similar layouts and outdoor areas. It's not really a /bad/ thing, since this is a large game and recycling level assets saves time, but I know it can bug some seeing the same factory space on multiple missions. Campaign collectibles - If you're someone who /needs/ to get all those extra audio files, data entries, etc is a game, there is currently no way to replay main campaign missions. Side missions yes, main missions no.

Graphics: 8.5/10 Story: 8/10 Fun factor: 8/10 Controls: 8.5/10 Fun Factor: 7/10 Replay value: Depends on Roadmap(If and when new characters will be playable) I recommend coping this if you get it for 39.99 or less

The story on this game is great. The gameplay is fun but the grind takes some getting used to. The xbox version was not nearly as buggy for me as I've seen online. Basically its Destiny with Avengers characters.

I was immediately attracted to this game when I saw I could play iron man. Which I have.... religiously. The game is fun. But don’t misunderstand that with longevity. This game is a grind and feels repetitive. The campaign was designed well and is quite fun. I recommended the game based solely on the campaign. When it comes to replay ability it’s there but will get old. Especially with the current problems. You’ll find yourself picking up challenges and “villain sectors” from the two factions in the game. However outside of pushing to get those done and completing the two villain sectors it’ll come to a halt. The game boasts “iconic missions” or missions for each hero (excluding iron man for some odd reason) however they currently don’t work. I was able to play Hulk and Thors first mission and have yet to play any others as they have not shown on my map. The game is new and I did get it ore launch so issues are understandable. So far Devs are on it and it is improving. As of RIGHT now though the game is unplayable. Enemies are disappearing or glitching into walls or through doors. Game is freezing (not personally had this but friends have) Bosses also disappear rendering the whole mission unplayable and making the game in its current state unplayable. It’s really a shame because I have met some fellow fans of marvel/strangers that become longtime gaming session friends only to have the whole game stop working and have to stop playing for the night. I hope they stay on it. Lately it feels they may be slacking. They want players to submit tickets and at first it was “great we will look into it!” Lately though it’s been “cool check out Reddit for work arounds thanks” and that just feels lazy. Overall three stars. If the game improves and adds more it’ll go up. If it stays broken it’ll most definitely drop.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this game from reading other reviews. It has it flaws, the camera angle for example. Sometimes they just go off facing away from where you should be looking. I’ve gotten stuck on the screen where you can equip gear and I’ve had to restart my Xbox just to get out of it. The gameplay is amazing, I love the details. It’s a really enjoyable game to play.

This game is 10/10. The game quality is good especially on xbox. It makes their faces look exactly like it is in real life. The story is awesome and the battle mechanics are good. My brother enjoys this game too. The only thing I would suggest is if they add Spiderman. My brother a huge fan of Spiderman and he would love if it was in the game. 10/10

This game is a lot of fun to play. The initial area you start in is annoying, but once you get past it, it's quite enjoyable.

Its good for story thats for certain. Very repetitive though and just kinda boring after a bit. I for sure rushed through a lot just to see what happened next in the story for sure. For sure a game worthy of a discounted price.
