About this product

For his new CD InchMusic is the best consolationInch, trumpeter Joachim K. Schäfer uses a quote by Martin Luther as the title. And the choice of music is also comforting baroque concertos - mostly in major key - by Telemann, Albinoni, Vivaldi and others, interspersed with Bach chorale arrangements. He has chosen the organist Matthias Eisenberg as his virtuoso accompanist, and the two of them have chosen the Grünlichtenberg church for their recording, where there is a romantic organ by Christian Friedrich Göthel from 1867. This is not only a beautiful historical instrument, it is also in the Romantic tuning on concert pitch a = 432 Hertz. Joachim K. Schäfer is a great advocate of this lower tuning, as it was common in the 19th century (today's tuning to 440 hertz and even higher was only developed in the 20th century to bring more brilliance and tonal sharpness to the orchestra). In Schäfer's opinion, the lower tuning corresponds much more to the natural vibration conditions found in nature - the instruments sound better and the listeners also react with a much greater sense of well-being.

Heinz Herbert - Yes - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

The Trio Heinz Herbert's captivating aesthetic is thanks to a symbiotic intensity of expression. It contains traces of '70s free jazz psychedelics and particles of contemporary club culture and aspires to a broad fusion of free jazz and electronic music, energetically driven by a collective improvisation which outflanks solo gymnastics. After their celebrated 2016 recording, The Willisau Concert, with YES the trio have added fire to a highly original, unconventional musical art, swaggering again through electronic landscapes. InchYES welcome to transgressive zones of sound, multifaceted sonic structures, diverse aggregate states, moods and colliding rhythms. YES enter the cabinet of mirrors, reflecting influences, material, colors and double (dance) floors. More closely intertwined, and loosely interlocked, the Trio Heinz Herbert sound comes apart in the sum of the threefold individuals and in an interplay based on blind trust, on YES they celebrate music which is always in motion, constantly building new forms, reminiscent of the shifting, morphing multiple body of a flock of birds,Inch writes Florian Keller.

Isabel Schicketanz - Seelentrost - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Music of the (early) Baroque evokes sympathy, provides opportunities for identification and serves as a vehicle for moral or religious teaching. And finally, the Baroque musical 'exploration of the soul' as a soundtrack of life can and intends to give support, comfort and strength. Soprano Isabel Schicketanz's recording displays this impressively. It is a compilation of towering works from the 17th century.
