My old dishwasher unexpectedly stopped working so it was time to replace it. I had two criteria: the inside be totally stainless and with the simplest of controls. Found exactly what I wanted in this Maytag. It is a well built machine, runs quietly, and beautifully cleans my dishes

Alittle loudet than I thought but looks great and works great. Maytag is reliable. Previously had GE dishwasher and was really unhappy with it. We went with black and love it, inside is stainless steel.

We recently had this Maytag dishwasher installed, to replace an old Whirlpool dishwasher that was around 20 years old. One thing that I was a little disappointed with in the beginning is the instructions - there is very little there. Most of the information is on a quick-start guide that is the front and back of one page. The rest of the booklet that comes with the dishwasher is mostly warranty info and safety warnings. This model doesn't have a lot of cycle options - there are Auto, Normal, and Quick wash cycles, with a PowerBlast option. There are are also High Temp and Sani Rinse modes, and Heated Dry can be set to Short, Long, or None. Auto is supposed to set the wash options for you, but it is not clear what kind of sensors it is using. It has always set the cycle to Normal with Short Heated Dry when I have pressed it. I have so far run all washes on Normal with no Heated Dry. With the exception of two bowls on two different washes that came out still dirty, everything has come out of the new dishwasher clean, and in most cases it is already dry despite not using the heated dry option. I am very pleased with the cleaning performance and drying on the Maytag. With our old dishwasher we rinsed everything before putting it in and we no longer have to do that. We used to wash anything really dirty or large by hand, and even still some things would come out dirty from the old dishwasher. Plastic items also frequently came out wet from the old dishwasher, but I only have to towel dry items occasionally with the Maytag, and that is without using the heated dry option. The cycles do take much longer than our old dishwasher - I think the Normal cycle usually takes around 2.5 hours. The Maytag is a little quieter than our old dishwasher, but it isn't silent - if you are in the same room you will hear it, and if you are in a nearby room without a door between you may be able to hear it there as well. We got the model in black, and I think it looks nice. With the exception of the controls, a small screen, and the recessed handle, the front is smooth - even the Maytag logo is hidden on the top of the door until you open it. On the inside, the tub is stainless steel and there are two racks. The racks are coated metal and plastic. The utensil basket is solid plastic. You won't find any adjustable items in this one - no stemware holders or tines that fold down. The utensil basket lifts out and goes back in easily. One thing that I like is that it is much easier to put rinse aid into this dishwasher than my old one - someone finally made a design that is easier to pour into. Overall, I think this dishwasher does a great job, and although it doesn't have a lot of features, I think it does the most important things at a reasonable price compared to the other options on the market.

Good value and solid material for its price. The door is heavy duty and not flimsy or feel of plastic material. The machine is not loud, surprisingly it is quiet. Lots of room for pots and big plates that won’t hit the water propellers.

Purchased it because my previous GE dishwasher's door kept breaking. Installation was very easy. There is a good video put out by Maytag on youtube with detailed instructions. I have been using it for a while now and here are major pros and cons. Pros: - cleans well - quick cycle handles dirty dishes well, so I did not need to use other cycles so far - dries very well even on short dry cycle - haven't even use long dry cycle yet - relatively quiet - easy installation Cons: - few cycles available, but honestly so far quick cycle takes care of the job well - it would be nice if separate cycle for top only be available - all cycle seem to run really long - quick cycle with short dry takes almost 2 hours Overall good purchase. For that price does the cleaning and drying job really well.

Cleans perfectly; everything comes out dry, with no dripping water, even on plastic items. Normal setting is ridiculously long, over 3 hours. The utensil basket does not come with utensil separators. Placing dishes in the dish racks is cumbersome.

Great so far. Quiet and gets everything clean. Installation was a little difficult. You have to wire in a cord that is not included. You also need a junction box cord protector also not included. The waste line was also too short so I had to get an extension.

This is a very quiet machine that is easy to use. This is only one of 3 dishwasher brands that uses a forced hot air heating system to dry the dishes! We tried another famous brand first that we've had before but it left almost everything wet!! The installer said a lot of the newer models don't dry well & this Maytag is one he would buy!

I love this dishwasher. It runs with very little noise. The racks roll out smoothly. The dishes and glasses come out sparkling. I'm glad I bought the black finish. It's worth the money.

So happy with this purchase. The dishwasher is super quiet and the dishes come out hot and clean!! Would absolutely recommend. So far the front does not smudge or get fingerprints and is easy to wipe and keep clean.

Have used this several times now. Does a great job cleaning the dishes. It's just what we wanted; simple, no wifi, only 3 settings, and two racks. Spacious and good looking. We got the darker color to avoid finger prints. Not terribly quiet but not annoyingly loud either. Hope it lasts a long time and lives up to Maytag's reputation.

Washes the dishes well. I always rinse my dishes so I couldn't tell you if it gets off stuck on food. The sanitize cycle takes 4 hours, about an hour longer than my last dishwasher. Does what it's supposed to do.

Absolutely love this dishwasher. So much better than the basic dishwasher I had before. I love the multiple settings for different cycles and also having a drying setting for high or low. Didnt even have that option with my previous dishwasher. Love the fact that my dishes are actually dried that I can save them right away with exception of a few cups of storage containers that may have slight dip downs that hold water. Extremely satisfied not only with the quality but also getting it on sale was a win for me.

Wife loves her new dishwasher. It has more room inside than the last one and a lot quieter. We've only had it for a month now. If it last 10 yrs like the last one, that would make me really happy !

Simple but effective. Fairly easy to install. It does not come with a power cord so keep that in mind. I just used the power cord from my old dishwasher and it worked fine.
