Limited 180 gm vinyl LP pressing. Digitally re-mastered edition of the British Rock quartet's fifth studio album, originally released in 1973. Containing some of the band's most famous songs, including 'The Song Remains the Same', 'The Rain Song' and 'No Quarter', HOUSES OF THE HOLY became a huge success, and was certified eleven times platinum by the RIAA. In 1968, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music. The band has sold more than 300 million albums worldwide with a celebrated catalog. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Page brought in Plant, Bonham and Jones to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released it's self-titled debut. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest Rock band in the world.
Original Medicine Show album returns as a 1xLP reissue. At the forefront of the Paisley Underground scene, The Dream Syndicate are one of the most revered indie-rock bands of the 1980s.Extensive 2025 US Fall tour + 2026 Jan/Feb Europe & UK Tour.Medicine Show is the band's second album. Remastered from the original reel-to-reel tapes and featuring liner notes by Steve Wynn.In 1982, The Dream Syndicate started their own record company, Down There Records, to their self-titled four-song twelve-inch EP, which included the first versions of 'When You Smile' and 'That's What You Always Say'. They went on to sign with Slash for The Days of Wine and Roses, followed by A&M for the Medicine Show album. Medicine Show has always been a controversial album, even before it was recorded. The indie rock darlings became the first Paisley Underground band to sign to a major tag, hire a mainstream rock producer, change bass players, and spend months recording the album - after having banged out their previous one, The Days of Wine and Roses, in mere hours.Like many psychologically complex albums, Medicine Show took time to truly settle into listeners' minds. It's long overdue, but it has finally arrived.
