Two CD set containing four albums. The late Melanie's last four Buddah Records albums, dating from 1971, 1972 and 1973. The 45 'Brand New Key' was a US Number 1 and Top 5 in the UK; this song was taken from 'Gather Me', whilst 'The Nickel Song' was a US Top 40 hit taken from 'The Good Book'. The first three albums were US Top 200 hits whilst all these were Top 20 albums in the UK. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with extensive new notes. Album Tracks 1. Good Book 2. Expanded two CD edition. Melanie was a folk-pop singer/songwriter who issued many excellent albums in the 1970s on Buddah Records and then on her own Neighborhood Records. She is also known for her appearance at the original Woodstock festival in 1969. In 1976 she signed with Atlantic Records and issued the album PHOTOGRAPH. Rhino's Handmade tag issued a two CD set of this album, adding an entire second disc of bonus tracks and renaming the album PHOTOGRAPH (DOUBLE EXPOSURE).
