Melody Fader - Music of Frederic Chopin - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

The spirit of England in favourite songs and music. From 'Greensleeves' to 'Jupiter', this is a celebration in music of England's green and pleasant land by Elgar, Handel and others, for orchestras and military bands.

In May 2018 the premier of Franz Lehar's The Merry Widow was a thundering success. It was not only Claus Guth's sophisticated and insightful production that earned critical acclaim, the musical performance also received several accolades in it's own right. The energetic conducting by Joana Mallwitz, Marlis Petersen in the title role, with Iurii Samoilov as Danilo by her side and Kateryna Kasper and Martin Mitterrutzner as Valencienne and Camille de Rosillon, the perfect couple, had audiences spellbound. The present is a live recording of the phenomenal premier at Oper Frankfurt.

2010 3X CD Berlin Classics Basics series collection. At the heart of Chopin's music is the piano, and it's amazing what range of tones and moods he was able to elicit this instrument. So here are his two piano concertos heard in addition to a comprehensive selection of the most popular solo works, in the Fantaisie-Impromptu as little lacking as the Minute Waltz.
