Kreator, Destruction and Sodom. All three are German Thrash Metal legends. So far, so good. But what about a band called Necronomicon? Never heard of them? Well, life could have been so much different. If, yes, if Necronomicon had had the same luck as the above mentioned three in signing a deal with one of the prominent German labels back in the mid-1980s. But instead of securing a deal with Steamhammer (like Sodom and Destruction), Noise (Kreator) or even Roadrunner, Necronomicon ended up with the little known Wave Records (a sublabel of Gama Records). Necronomicon was founded in late 1984 but their self-titled debut did not hit the shops until 1986. Their debut album, nowre-released on High Roller Records, is by many fans still regarded as one the greatest German Thrash Metal records in history. Necronomicon returned in the new century with three more albums (on various labels). The Silver Trio brings together three composers of very different provenance and epoch for it's latest on COVIELLO, which spans the spectrum from Viennese Classicism to Classical Modernism. All of them are three fascinatingly fresh early works, which the likewise still very young Austrian-Swiss trio knows how to realize with congenial youthful verve. InchThe Silver TrioInch with Cäcilia Dorner (violin), Miriam Dorner (violoncello) and Stefan Man (piano) was founded in September 2018. Up until that point, everyone was very focused on solo music education. The enthusiasm for chamber music has always been there and the occasional involvement in chamber music and orchestral projects gave them positive impressions and experiences. They were particularly enthusiastic about making music in the piano trio, as there is a very diverse range of literature to choose from. So it came about that the three young musicians in their preparatory studies came together and were enthusiastic about the first sound experiences of this line-up after the first rehearsal.
