The jungle classic back in HD glory—beautiful to look at, though the framerate sometimes sneaks slower than Snake in a cardboard box. The revamped controls are a lifesaver, and while it keeps every quirk of the original, that’s part of its charm. A must-play for veterans and first-time operatives alike.

As a longtime fan of the Metal Gear series, I had high hopes for METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER Tactical Edition—and I'm thrilled to say it absolutely delivers. This remake is not just a nostalgia trip; it's a masterful modernization of one of the greatest stealth-action games of all time. From the moment the game boots up on the PS5, it's clear how much care and detail went into this edition. The upgraded visuals are stunning—lush jungle environments feel alive, and character models are incredibly detailed without losing the charm of the original designs. The lighting and weather effects truly showcase what the PlayStation 5 can do. Gameplay-wise, it's everything fans remember, but smoother. The updated controls are intuitive, responsive, and much more accessible for modern players without compromising the tactical stealth elements that made the original a classic. It’s a perfect blend of old-school challenge and new-school polish. The Tactical Edition is also packed with extras that fans will appreciate. Whether it’s the behind-the-scenes content, the enhanced camouflage system, or additional items that cater to both newcomers and veterans, it feels like a complete package that respects its legacy while pushing it forward. And of course, the story remains as gripping and emotional as ever. Big Boss’s origin is told with the same depth and gravitas, now enhanced by better voice clarity and cinematic presentation. Final Verdict: If you're a fan of stealth, cinematic storytelling, or just want to experience one of gaming’s most iconic titles in the best way possible, METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER Tactical Edition is a must-buy. Konami and the developers have done an outstanding job honoring Hideo Kojima’s vision while bringing it into the modern era.

Updated gameplay and graphics to a story that has aged well. Play this game! -1 star because the price is so high for such a short game. You can finish it in about 10-15 hours. It has great replayability but I've bought this game like 5 times now? I think the graphic overhaul and the fact that they brought back some of the voice actors to rerecord some UI functions along with updated gameplay to match something similar to mgs5 makes it more worth it. Tactical edition comes with a bunch of dlc outfits which are really fun. I recommend the sneaking suit!

Wowww. My favorite game growing up was metal gear and i never would've thought it can be taken to this level of gaming and excellent graphics. Game play is smooth and the strory line is top notch. Love this game!

Played this back in the PS2 days. Absolutely amazing. It still holds up today on the PS2. The remake is a dream come true. I never though I would play this again on a PS5 Pro over 20 years later. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay is amazing. 10/10 a classic masterpiece!

In today’s era of remakes and remasters it’s hard to determine which remakes stray from the beaten path, and which ones stay true to the source material. MGS Delta is as faithful as they come. It’s literally the exact same game with prettier graphics. Well, besides the control scheme, they changed one thing to be more modernized, but other than that it’s the same. If you liked MGS3 and want to relive it with modern UE5 technology, then get this. Oh and there’s an Ape Escape crossover again.

[Employee of bestbuy] Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is everything I wanted as a longtime fan—it’s like stepping back into one of my favorite games ever, but seeing it with fresh eyes. The Unreal Engine 5 upgrade makes the jungle feel alive in a way I never imagined back in 2004, and hearing that iconic “Snake Eater” theme again (with the same vocalist!) gave me chills. What I love most is that they didn’t mess with the heart of it—Snake’s story, the characters, the emotions—they’re all exactly as I remember, just sharper and more immersive. Sure, a few of the old-school mechanics show their age, but honestly, I wouldn’t trade that authenticity for anything. For me, Delta isn’t just a remake—it’s a love letter to fans, and playing it feels like reconnecting with an old friend I never stopped caring about.

This game is amazing. There were issues reported week one that were fixed via updates within 2 weeks. However, I never experienced these issues myself. There is a lot of replay value especially if you are a trophy hunter. im on my 5th playthrough now, picking it up every other month or so. Theres even an agent hunt game mode at the very end where you have to sneak-shoot a bunch of apes from the old Ape-Escape games.

Great game stays true to the original with updated graphics and modern controls

Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta Snake Eater is truly a good example of hoe to faithfully remaster a game giving it new life and polish. I'd definitely recommend people to play this game of you want to get into the MGS series since this game is considered a prequel.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater looks even better to play on my PS5 Pro with the new update that now has two modes: Performance Mode 1080p 60fps & Quality Mode 1440p 60fps. Looks so beautiful to play of the remake of the game thats from 2004 to 2025!! Breathtaking.

Slow paced. Incredible story line. Def exceeded all expectations

A great remaster of a classic game. So nice to play this game with modern controls. If you’re experiencing it for the first time, this is the way to go.

This remake is a stunning tribute to the original, and I'm still blown away by the graphics! Achieving Fox Hound rank was a blast, and I love that I can still replay it and get emotional at the end. The option for classic and modern controls is a brilliant touch that all remakes should adopt. This game is an absolute must-have for any collection!

Recived game on launch day. Did not originally expect to get the "Deluxe" DLC pack with my copy (Nice Surprise.) Loveing the game. Very faithul to the original MGS3.

I play the original ps2 when I was a kid and the remake pretty much did its job and than some like when they even the the time code when you fight the end and the option to change the camera angle

This game is a fully remastered of the PS2 Metal Gear solid 3. So if you haven’t played it yet I highly recommend this one. It’s worth the hype!
