- Description: Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of the second studio album by Metallica, originally released in 1984. The album was recorded in three weeks with producer Flemming Rasmussen at the Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. The artwork, based on a concept by the band, depicts an electric chair in the midst of a thunderstorm. The title was taken from a passage in Stephen King's novel The Stand. Although rooted in the thrash metal genre, the album showcased the band's musical maturity and lyrical sophistication. This was partly because bassist Cliff Burton introduced the basics of music theory to the rest of the band and had more input in the songwriting. Instead of relying strictly on fast tempos as on Kill 'Em All, Metallica broadened it's approach by employing acoustic guitars, extended instrumentals, and more complex harmonies. Album Tracks 1. Six years and five albums after their debut, Van Halen had become one of the biggest bands in world around the of 1984, which includes a number of the band’s most legendary songs such as the #1 hit, InchJumpInch, InchPanamaInch and InchHot For TeacherInch. Mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios, was enlisted for this new version. It was released in January 1, 1985. The parenthetical InchsInch in the subtitle alludes to the status at the time of InchMargaritavilleInch as Buffett's single large chart hit. Although the album charted at 100 on the Billboard 200, it is currently certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA, making it Buffett's most commercially successful. Recorded at the Sweet Silence Studios with producer Flemming Rasmussen, it was their third album overall.
