This Metra TC4DB-2 3-position power/ground distribution block sends power from your vehicle's battery to peripherals and features real brass construction for smooth signal transfer. The plastic housing provides durability.
Q: Can you input 1 #4 wire and output 2 #4 wires ??
A: Yes this outputs 2 4 gauge wires and can input a 4, 2, or 0 guage wire
Q: Will it support any gauge wire?
A: I used it for connecting 0 gauge power wire to gauge to route to the amps.
Q: Can I use this to run ground only for my two my speakers that need 12 v because they have LED lights
A: yes can be used either for ground or for positive leads.
Q: Can you use 8 gauge wire in/out ? Would that work ?
A: Yes, technically you can HOWEVER you would more than likely draw more current than a 8ga wire could handle and that's why they say 4ga in 8ga out. Think about it, you have 2 8ga on the output each pulling there own current from the same input wire.
Q: Can you run a power in and a power and ground out to amp with this
A: No. Distribution blocks are designed to distribute power (+) OR ground (-). Personally I would only use this distribution block for ground (-). Look into one with a separate fuse for each amp if using it for power (+).
Q: Will it hurt anything to go 4 in and 4 out to one amp and 8 out to the other amp
A: I dont see why this would be an issue. If you run 4 gauge into them you can go smaller coming out depending on the needs of your amps. I went 1 in and 4 out on both of my distribution blocks. These don't regulate power just split into smaller wires. You'll still have 12v going through it.
