It's hard to say how good this replacement aerial is, except from previous experience. This is the second one I've purchased for my car; the first one was some 3 or 4 years ago. Not a stellar record of longevity, but okay for the price I paid. The previous one was a bit prone to rust on the mounting screws, and would bend and become useless if you weren't careful with the manual retraction. Thus my need for a new one. The problem is that Best Buy, the company that sold it to me, will not install it for me. I'm at a loss to fathom the reasons for such a stance. Why sell a product you won't install? It makes no sense to me, and I now have to go find someone with the time and knowledge to do this. The last one was installed by someone who took about 4 hours to do the job, and overcharged for his service.

Works great bought it for my truck radio and has very good reception
