This Vantrue hardwire kit provides seamless, continuous power for your dash cam and other devices, supporting a wide range of 12–24V vehicles including cars, trucks, SUVs, buses, and big rigs. Designed for convenience and protection, it enables 24/7 parking surveillance by connecting directly to the vehicle battery, ensuring constant monitoring even when parked. For everyday use, it can be wired to the ignition, powering the dash cam on and off automatically with the engine so you never have to worry about plugging in chargers. Built-in smart low voltage protection safeguards your car battery by shutting off power when voltage drops to 11.6V or 23.2V. The Type-C USB plug adds versatility, making it compatible with Type-C dash cams, GPS navigators, and radar detectors, while freeing up the cigarette lighter for other devices. Pair the Radar Module with a compatible Thinkware dash cam to extend its parking surveillance duration while reducing power consumption when set to Energy Saving Mode. The Radar will detect motion and allow the dash cam to prepare to save an event clip. If an impact is detected, a 20 second video (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the impact) is saved in a dedicated folder on the MicroSD card. When no impacts are detected, the dash cam does not save the footage and resumes Energy Saving Mode.
