Metronomy - Small World - VINYL LP

For his maiden on Origin, Northwest bassist Jon Hamar eschews the traditional piano trio to explore the textural, dynamic and melodic possibilities of a decidedly unconventional instrumental configuration. Bolstered by the lithe and profuse alto saxophonist, Todd DelGiudice, and the illustriously versatile Geoffrey Keezer on piano, Hamar puts forth an intelligent collection of original compositions and sagacious arrangements that highlights the alluring interplay of these three very distinct voices. Inch... in this collection, Hamar achieves the balance of thoughtfulness and risk-taking that characterizes the most successful jazz ventures.Inch - Doug Ramsey

Vinyl LP pressing. 2011 sophomore from this Electronic outfit, the brainchild of Joseph Mount. While the blend of modern Electronica and a slight '70s Prog Rock feel may linger from their debut, the English Riviera is a huge leap forwards, taking in breezy West Coast vibes while remaining distinctly British.

2015 , the second album from this band led by Johnny Quaid. As a founding member of My Morning Jacket, Quaid lent his talents as a guitar player and engineer to the band for six years, three albums and an array of EPs and singles. For Terminal Current, Quaid enlisted a group of like-minded musicians operating as a collective. The album features Jared Goodpastor (guitar, synthesizer), Brent Stewart and Tom blankenship (bass), Daniel T. Mohler and Kevin Ratterman (drums), Bernie Reilly (cello), David Givan (percussion), Phil Carlson (guitar) and Carl Broemel (pedal steel). Terminal Current expands on the sound Quaid established on his debut, while stretching into new sonic territory and atmosphere.
