About this product
All over Michael Feuerstack's latest record, time - and it's inherent illusory nature - is incredibly elastic. Some moments seem to stretch on forever; others are illuminated only briefly, like fiery embers popping into the sky, extinguished just as quickly as they're recognized. While Feuerstack arranged and recorded Harmonize the Moon completely solo at his Montreal apartment in the spring of 2020, the songs that compose it were written over the past couple years, on wanderings and tours as well as at home. He embarked on a slow process of balancing the poetic with the narrative, producing songs that flow naturally instead of adhering too rigidly to established forms. The result is a collection that's pensive but playful, introspective yet generous, and achingly intimate. 1. I Used to Be a Singer2. Too Kind3. Call of the Tired4. Time to Burn5. Harmonize the Moon6. ![Gunar Letzbor - 12 Fantasias for Solo Violin - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/cb5f898b-c315-4c43-9a14-828a91c375e6.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
Alongside his success directing the ensemble Ars Antiqua Austria, Gunar Letzbor has not let up on demonstrating his talents as a violinist. After the recording of Johann Sebastian Bach's Sonatas and Partitas the 12 Fantasias by Georg Philipp Telemann present him again completely Incha soloInch. Telemann's Fantasias for Solo Violin are reflections both of his full maturity as a composer and of being highly proficient violinist himself, with the exceptionally prolific and enormously busy composer publishing sets of fantasias for solo instruments - flute, viola da gamba as well as violin - without basso continuo in Hamburg in the 1730s. The 12 Fantasias recorded here are written for an unaccompanied instrument and manage to embrace both the long established style for polyphony in German violin music - with fugues and multi-part writing for the violin - and more modern trends - galanterien and Italian sonata and concerto influences. Gunar Letzbor plays a Sebastian Klotz violin from the eighteenth century.

2020 . Wicked Sensation Reimagined features re-worked and re-recorded versions of their most classic songs. The twelve-track album, originally released in October 1990, is considered by many to be sacred and perfect the way it is. The idea of rerecording it was not something Oni Logan or George Lynch took lightly. InchThe term 're-record' makes me cringe, this is not that,Inch explains Lynch. InchWe re-invented the wheel on this record. It's really a different animal than the original! Fans won't be disappointed!Inch The new cover of Wicked Sensation Reimagined was hand drawn by mid-west comic artist Andrew Owens as a tribute to the original cover art. With the help of Robbie Crane (Black Star Riders) on bass and Brian Tichy on drums, George Lynch and Oni Logan bring passion and power into these newly created arrangements, take nothing away from the old versions, but bring new light and magic to the material. The songs continue to sound fresh and timeless and will be ready to garner a whole new legion of fans for the next thirty years!
Brooklyn-based Argentine singer/songwriter's 6th studio album includes guests Mauro Refosco (David Byrne, Atoms for Peace) on percussion, Iain Cook (Chvrches) and Yuka Honda (Cibo Matto) on synths, Melissa Mary Ahern (Sufjan Stevens) on vocal harmonies, the YMusic Ensemble (Paul Simon) on orchestra arrangements and Kenny Wollensen (Tom Waits) on drums. Aubele looks to further establish himself as a dynamic, multicultural musician to watch as he continues to reach new depths. Touring 2023.
