Q: What dose the laptop come with and dose it come with the stylus or do you have to buy it separately
A: You have to purchase it separately.
A: Usually 11th edition referring to the 13" Surface Pro. This form factor (12") is new, launched after the 13" 11th edition.
Q: I have an old Surface keyboard and pen. Will these work with this device?
A: Older Surface Tablet keyboard = no Older Surface Tablet Pen = Depends on the model.
Q: does this tablet have a speaker or do I need to use a headset?
A: yes!The computer sound effect is great, you can also plug in wired headphones, or connect Bluetooth headphones
Q: does this model include a keyboard? what does it come with?
A: This model comes with a USB type-C to USB type-C for charging, but doesn't include a charging block to plug into the wall. You'll have to pick up a 3rd party one or purchase the Microsoft branded one separately. The keyboard is also sold separately.
Q: What is the graphics card? Is this good for gaming?
A: Onboard graphics Adreno aren't very conducive for gaming. If you want to game, you may be better off getting a Legion Go or ROG Ally X. The options are just better on that and graphics are improved. ARM64 isn't really great for AAA gaming.... waiting on eGPU support so they can solve that problem but that's not here yet.
Q: what material is the keyboard made from?
A: undefined

LOVE!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro Copilot+ PC (12” Touch-Screen, Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB/512GB, Violet) and I’ve been very impressed so far. The performance is smooth and responsive, even when multitasking between multiple apps. The 16GB of memory handles my workflow easily, and the 512GB storage gives me plenty of space without needing external drives. The touch screen is bright and sharp, and it works beautifully for both typing with the detachable keyboard and using touch or pen input. The violet color is unique and stylish, which makes it stand out compared to other laptops/tablets. I also appreciate how lightweight and portable it is—it fits perfectly into my bag and is easy to take on the go. Battery life has been solid so far, lasting through my workday without needing to recharge. I also like that it’s designed as a Copilot+ PC, making it future-ready for AI-powered features in Windows. Overall, this Surface Pro strikes a great balance between performance, portability, and design. If you’re looking for a powerful 2-in-1 device that can handle work, school, and entertainment, I highly recommend it.

I've always been a devoted Apple and Mac enthusiast, never quite drawn to Windows. That said, there was a period—about 15 years ago—when I did explore the Windows ecosystem. If I were ever to choose a PC laptop or tablet, it would undoubtedly be a Surface device. As someone who values thoughtful design, the Surface stands out as the closest thing to an Apple-like experience within the Windows world. Most other Windows laptops, with their often uneven or misaligned trackpads, tend to lack the refined aesthetic I appreciate—one of the main reasons I’ve kept my distance. The 12-inch Surface Pro line is a true exception. It boasts a stunning design, remarkable speed, and a fan-less, completely silent operation with no heat issues. Its excellent battery life is yet another nod to Apple's standards. For those who share my perspective, this Surface is an outstanding choice. Hats off to Microsoft—I hope to see the same level of hardware excellence reflected in Windows itself someday.

I got a great deal on the Microsoft Surface Pro 12” (1st edition; Ocean) at my local Best Buy on July 17th. After a few days of use, I can say I’m very happy with my purchase. The form factor is outstanding—ultraportable and easy to take anywhere. Build quality feels premium, and the ocean color is both professional and visually appealing (a nice change from classic platinum). The keyboard is surprisingly comfortable to use and rest on the lap for its size, and the clever 360-degree hinge makes it convenient to flip to tablet mode while keeping the keyboard attached. That flexibility is perfect for casual browsing, note-taking, or just propping up on a lap. The kickstand is solid, and with the keyboard attached, it’s much more comfortable and functional for lap use than previous Surface Pros (which were also larger at 13" and even less stable on the lap). In terms of performance, the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD are a practical combination for light to moderate productivity work—email, web browsing, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel apps all run smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised to have no trouble with some of the third party plug-ins designed for the x86 processor. Setup was quick and painless, and my Surface Slim Pen (from my Surface Laptop Studio 2) paired effortlessly and works with both computers seamlessly. This is a big plus for sketching and note-taking. Battery life is adequate but not as great as advertised. The screen, while not OLED, is sufficiently sharp and more than adequate for office work and watching videos on the go. On the plus side, the fanless design means the device stays quiet and cool—no distracting noise or heat, which I appreciate. For anyone considering an iPad for work, the Surface Pro 12" is a strong alternative. It can handle full Office applications and functions as a traditional laptop. If I had to choose between an iPad and this device for productivity, I’d handily pick the Surface Pro 12". For context, this is my backup laptop to a Surface Laptop Studio 2 (64GB RAM, 2TB SSD), yet I’m impressed by how portable and capable the Surface Pro 12" is. A few things could be improved: a 32GB RAM option would help future-proof the device, slimmer bezels would further optimize screen size, and an extra USB-C port would be helpful. And if I had to pick only thing - even better battery life. Overall, I’m a fan and would recommend the Surface Pro 12" to anyone looking for a portable, well-finished, and functional device for everyday productivity tasks.
