Windows 10 is easy to install and greatly reduces booting time. It has many awesome features including the all new Edge browser and a very intuitive and user friendly help system.

I had windows 10 Home addition and purchased Windows 10 Pro addition. I decided to purchase a new hard drive so the original hard drive in my Envy would stay as new in case there were problems upgrading to windows 10 Pro. Windows 10 Home addition was a lot easier to run and drive over the windows 8 addition, plus it had much the same feel as a window 7 Pro machine. I do networking and engineering so I wanted to upgrade to the Pro addition. I was surprised the pro addition came on a USB drive. I installed a new Hybrid 1 Terabyte Hard drive then loaded the Pro, per the instructions, setting the computer up to load from the USB Drive. I was amazed at the speed the windows 10 operating system installed. After 20 minutes it was up and running. HOWEVER, it only installed the Windows 10 Home edition, NOT the PRO addition. I went to best buy and asked why, but they couldn't help me. My son does computer networking and told me to use the license Key and change the key that was displayed when I looked at the computer info page. I saw I could change the license key and lo and behold it loaded the files necessary for Window 10 Pro. So if you buy the full blown version of Windows 10 Pro you don't need to reinstall the whole operating system, you just need to change the license Key and it will load those programs necessary for pro and you are ready to run your computer.

I have worked in the past for Microsoft. I am not a "Fan boy" of MS, but this review will sound like a fan boy wrote it. Window 10 pro is SIMPLY Fantastic! I simply plugged in the flash drive and entered the key. My 6 year old PC runs like a champ. I disabled windows defender (high recommend doing it as defender seemed to eat up a lot CPU cycles. Other than that, the purchase was easy, the install was a painless and 10 Pro runs like a top.

This was great to install. The USB drive worked extremely fast and without a hitch. Some updated drivers even installed at the time of installation. So far I only have one program that will not work with Win10.

Pro - Better than Vista, 7 and 8.1. Soon this will be the norm. Has a lot more capability than the Home version. Con - You really need to go and check the privacy settings. Turn off Cortana if you don't use it everyday, it will read everything you own. Really check the settings carefully and turn off everything you don't need. Read online as well for other changes you should make. Privacy needs to protected and only you can do it.

Windows 10 Pro is a great operating system for a custom-built PC. I had an easy time installing it onto my computer. The USB stick was convenient because I did not have a disc reader installed. The $200 price tag was a little disappointing, though.

Easy to install. It provides you with a USB stick that contains the WIndows 10 files on it. Connect the USB to your computer and then get into your BIOS and select to boot from the USB stick. I have Windows 10 on all my computers, and I highly recommend Windows 7 Pro over Home version.

Purchased because of Windows 10 upgrade failure from Windows 7. Microsoft needs to work on stability issues with upgrades. Retail Windows 7 product key would not be recognized for clean re-install after Windows 10 upgrade. Windows 10 retail works excellent on clean install install.

The installation and set-up went a smoothly as usual for a Microsoft product. The home page set-up is more like the apps I use on my phone and thus are making my life somewhat easier. Like this considerably better than the first attempt at 8 for home computers...

I was glad to read other reviews and get this Windows 10 with full install on a USB. It installed without any problems and allows me to run other programs that the Mac cannot.

I bought windows 10 to run with parallels 11 on my new iMac. So far it was easy to install and runs much smoother than windows 7. Let's hope it lasts!

My Machine originally tried to go through the FREE upgrade from 7 Pro to Windows 10 and got tangle up beyond repair. Machine would not boot cleanly. It renamed me to my email address and locked me out of ADMIN level. Printer would not work with upgrade. it reverted to 7 Pro and lost LOTS. I guess free gets you what you pay for it in the end. I bought the full install from the stick and have reloaded everything and did file restore from my cloud backup account and now runs smoothly. I also decided to move to OFFICE 365 to be sure everything worked together. $70 / year seems like a fair price if you never have to worry about patches and fixes to local install. I am still learning the different places things are hidden but I am flying along.

I recently built my new PC, and I went to BestBuy to and bought the Windows 10 Pro USB version. I just plugged the USB in to a USB 3.0 slot and let the computer detect the USB drive. From there It was just a couple key strokes and then a 30min wait for Windows 10 to download.

Had it on recently purchased computer, added to an older computer because it was easier to use. Some related programs had trouble interfacing and had to have IT help.

I went from Windows 7 Pro to 10 Pro putting the installer on a thumb drive then upgrading. It took about 30 minutes. All data, every application, email and network setting transferred flawlessly and work. I have never experienced this on any prior upgrades of Windows operating systems. I used Classic Shell to bring up a menu and UI that feels more familiar. Too bad Classic Shell will no longer be updated after Dec 2017. I'll see how long it survives future Win10 patches/updates. Fabulous experience overall.

Not much to say, its windows. I was happy to see that they offer the OS on usb thumb drives now since I purposely did NOT add a cd/dvd drive to the new computer I built, and being able to use usb was convenient. Install went easy and fast with the highend CPU in the new machine. Only wish it was a little cheaper. Also wish windows handled 4k monitors a little better.

Windows 10 works, and I didn't have the irritating glitches that some friends had with the upgrade. The difference is that I'm tech-savvy enough to transfer data, erase the hard drive, and perform a clean installation. (I didn't lose anything.) The operating system works best with this clean start, and that's why I invested in a physical copy of the system instead of downloading it.

The review summary is in general terms. There are somethings I do not like about 10, but it can be ignored. I purchased the program from Best Buy because I could not get my down loadable version to install at ALL. When I purchased it, Win 10 Pro installed in the quickest time. The service B/B gave me was highly professional & courteous. I know I can go back and ask them any questions I may have if need be.
