Great nostalgia from an indie film. Loved how Jonah Hill actually used film for his debut. A good story with a good soundtrack. I would definitely recommend watching it!

Mid 90s Is Nothing Shy Of Greatness. From The Minute It Starts To The Very Minute It Ends. Keeps You Interested And Invested In The Characters On Screen And The Chemistry Between Them. The 90s Setting Is Phenomenally Executed. As A Viewer I Felt Transported Back In Time With The Representation. This Movie Is Littered With Easter Eggs And Timely Topics From The Period. Overall Mid 90s Is A Superb Movie That Anyone Could Enjoy And Deserves Recognition For Its Work!

I was once a skater preteen and teen in the 90's, and so this film had me seeing a lot of younger me, or friends I knew, at various times. A first half that looks to bring in a nostalgia for that time goes into a second half that will remind you of some of the life decisions you made and how we're lucky we got out alive. It's shot in 4:3 academy ratio, so that is what it is, but the 16mm look feels right for the film, and the audio mix is nice but nothing to write home about - not that it needs to be.

Jonah Hill makes his directorial debut with this delightful coming of-age comedy about 13 year old Stevie (played by Sunny Suljic) trying to fit it with his new skate crew friends while attempting to escape the harsh realities of his home life. All the young actors play their roles magnificently. A great film to watch.

Very riveting, love the shots, characters, and plot points. Everything I could ever ask for in a movie. However, I did not like how the beginning scene lasted a long time and the rest of the movie felt very rushed. The ending felt unfinished which I don't like in a movie. Still love it just nitpicking.

If you like indie film, 90's nostalgia and coming of age movies, this is for you. I absolutely love this movie. It is a bit drama, a bit comedy, but so enjoyable. The cast does a fantastic job recreating growing up in the 90's. The film is a departure for director Jonah Hill, but a welcome one.

If you can get through the first 20 minutes or so you actually start to warm up to the characters, who in the beginning are grating and annoying teenagers , but as the film progresses become more layered and endearing. Which is the whole point of the movie. Very natural and likeable performance from the lead. Look forward to Jonah Hills next project.

Mid 90’s is a great debut for screenwriter and director Jonah Hill. To some viewers the movie may seem “boring” and that nothing really happens, but that’s what makes the movie have charm and feel grounded. The characters feel so real and it reminds us of our own friend groups.

Jonah Hill does a great job directing this movie that’s a throw back for most people who grew up in the 90’s. A group of skater friends all living their life, skating, partying, and just generally having a good time. Great acting, they really click with each other.

From the cinematography, music choice and overall ambience, Mid 90s will resonate heavily with those who grew up in that era. However the themes explored, the emotions depicted lend to a edgy yet sweet coming of age story that many will relate to to a certain degree regardless of whether or not they lived through the 90s.

Mid90s is an impressive directorial debut for Jonah Hill. If you grew up in the 90s and love skateboard culture, this film is for you. It will make you feel nostalgic for a pre-Internet time, but it's also a bleak and honest look at adolescence.

This film is great. It captures what it was like living in the mid 90's as a teen, like I was at that time. Jonah Hill did a fantastic job with the music of the time and the scene. It reminds me of Larry Clark's film Kids.

Not just for fans of skateboarding! Great coming of age story with a very realistic view. Not a movie for kids to watch, but rather any one who grew up in the 90s and didn't fit any standard mold.

It was a very interesting movie, It was kind of boring at the beginning but it got more interested throughout the story. I recommend it to watch it if you have a teenager.

Very familiar childhood experience in boarding schools; not necessarily the board on wheels! Just the process of challenging bullying and standing up for self and sisters.

I must admit, I’m not a Jonah Hill fan and when I first saw his name in the trailer I was skeptic. But I was curious enough to still watch it and I actually loved it.

Jonah Hill truly captured being a young troubled kid/skater trying to fit in in the 90s. This is a very real and very raw take on a coming of age story and I love it!

Actually not at all what I expected, but having been born in the mid 80’s this movie gave me all the feels. I wish it was several hours longer.
