A: Hello, the compatible charging station for the LXT600 FRS Business Radios is the AVP21 Desktop charger and can be found on the MidlandUsa Website.
Q: What are the dimensions of the radios?
A: One radio is about 6inches long (including the fixed antenna) and with the belt clip about 1 1/2 inches wide. So, a pretty compact unit!
Q: Does it come with the rechargeable battery packs ?
A: undefined
A: Midland FRS/GMRS are compatible with each other and the programming is fairly simple. These radios are not compatible with CBs or the BizTalk series of radios.
A: Yes. I was able to pair these with two other sets that a friend of mine had. Same brand but different models. Not sure if they would work with different brands.
A: Great question. The walkies can be set to different channels and have the privacy code feature to work with to reduce crossover if in close range of one another. On average these walkies will get a half mile to 1 mile range, so you will not have crossover with each other if you are outside of that distance.
Q: Do these work well in construction
A: These are a solid radio. I would also recommend looking at the GXT1000, which is MIDLANDs most powerful GMRS handheld radio, which would provide the most range. It averages 1-2 miles in normal conditions. It is a great compliment to our micromobiles if you are planning on installing any in your work vehicles. Another radio would be the MB400, our business band radio. This radio has proven to be superior in warehouse environments and concrete structures.
