    The Jazz Album

Davis, Adderley, Coltrane, and more. This album should be part of every music aficionados collection. Beautifully recorded and perfect for vinyl. If you could only own one Jazz album, this should be it.

    Happiness on vinyl

I am only just rediscovering vinyl after many years of my turntable sitting in a closet with a broken stylus. After the purchase of a new McIntosh amplifier and some martin Logan ESL11s, I thought it time to mount a new cartridge and give it a whirl. After reading many reviews, I grabbed this and a few other classic jazz records to really put the system to the test. Not only is the sound quality incredible, but the musicianship is stellar. While this kind of jazz may not be everyone's cup of tea, I think anyone will appreciate this record. It makes me happy.

    Nice Album

The quality of the vinyl pressing seems to be quite good...probably better than the original. This album has the reputation of being a masterpiece. I have researched various articles and videos on why. Although I understand what is being said about why this is a significant album, I have to admit that I'm not terribly impressed with the music itself. There is nothing that strikes me as very unusual, or difficult, or extraordinary. It just strikes me as fairly mellow, easy listening jazz.

This is a must have lp

I purchased this album after looking online for LPS that had great recorded sound and this one came up. I had just purchased a phonograph player and wanted to hear what all the fuss was about vinyl sounding better and found out that is not always the case. It depends on how the master was recorded and this album does not disappoint .They have reproduced Miles Davis at his best and this album was recorded in 1959! Puts most mp3s to shame.

Phoebe Bridgers - Stranger In The Alps - VINYL LP
5.0(3)

Phoebe Bridgers wrote her first song at age 11, spent her adolescence at open mic nights, and busked through her teenage years at farmers markets in her native Los Angeles. By age 20, she'd caught the ear of Ryan Adams, who listened to her perform her song InchKillerInch in his L.A. studio, inviting her to come back and record it there the next day. The session blossomed into the three-song 'Killer' EP, released to much acclaim on Adams's Pax-Am tag in 2015. In the two short years since, Bridgers has toured or played with Conor Oberst, Julien Baker, City and Colour, Violent Femmes, Mitski, Television and Blake Babies among others. Phoebe Bridgers debut full-length, Stranger In The Alps. From the weeping strings and Twin Peaks twangs of opening track Smoke Signals, to the simple heartbreak of Funeral and melancholic crescendo of Scott Street, Stranger in the Alps is a swooningly beautiful record with a gothic heart.
