Questions & Answers

Is this game able to do multiplayer? If so, can you do multiplayer with your phone and 3ds?
No the game does not allow multiple players.

Is this game compatible with the nintendo 2 ds
It’s not. It’s only compatible with systems with”New” in their name: New 3DS XL, New 3DS and New 2DS XL. These systems have a better processor than earlier systems that allow them to play this game, Xenoblade Chronicles, the SNES virtual console games and there was another e-shop game I can’t remember.

All online reviews state that this new Minecraft game will not work with the 2DS console...has anyone discovered if this game will play on the 2DS?
You cannot use Minecraft on your 2ds unless it’s the NEW 2ds Xl

Is this game compatible with the older 3ds?
No, this game is only compatible with 3DS models that have "New" branding as they feature a faster processor than the older models. That includes the New 3DS, New 3DS XL and New 2DS XL models. The packaging for "New" only games is laid out differently than other releases and will feature a banner indicating it is "Only For *New* Nintendo 3DS".

I bought this game for my son for christmas. It says only compatible with the New 3DS. We only have the New 2DS xL
You might also try going into the settings all the way to the last page and update the 2ds xl system itself then you can update the minecraft game.this is what we had to do.
