Brand new Vought F4U Corsair Fighter Aircraft "World War II" United States Navy (Challenging Difficulty) Steel Model Kit by Metal Earth. Brand new box. Detailed exterior. Has landing gear. Includes 81 parts. Highly detailed model kit. Officially licensed product. Difficulty level: Challenging. This model does not have any openings. Assembled dimensions approximately L-5.1, W-4.15, H-1.75 inches. No glue or paint is required, but tweezers or similar tools are recommended. The most capable carrier based fighter-bomber of World War II featured the largest engine available at the time: the 2,000 hp, 18-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial. It was the first US warplane to exceed 400 mph in level flight. The plane featured an unusual inverted gull wing to keep the undercarriage short while allowing the use of the large diameter propeller demanded by the powerful engine.
