This independent amplifier had a noticeable effect, but maybe not quite as much as I was hoping for. Hooked up to a RCA Yagi antenna in my attic as close to the antenna as possible. Checked signal strength before and after and there was a considerable jump, locking in fringe channels a little better and picking up a few extras although none that I actually watch. I am 30+ miles from all of my stations, so I only noticed gain improvements with no extra noise. Still can't get a channel that I feel like I should, but I don't think that's the fault of this amplifier. I'm happy with the performance for the relatively small price.

In January I purchased and installed this amplifier. It was incredibly easy and worked wonderfully. I wrote a glowing review at the time. Within a few days it had no effect. I reinstalled and it still has no effect. I'm told it has something to do with the new digital services scrambling the signals for the few of us who do not subscribe to their service. Bottom line: There's no reason to buy this.

Easy to attach. Wish a clerk had told me about this gadget 2 years ago when I bought the TV and antenna that only picked up a few stations!

I did not receive extra tv channels with this product. It may help in your area but it didn't help in my area. I returned this product

This brought in 21 channels as expected but a number were not strong enough and pixelated. Tested with the Mohu amplifier and everything fully up to strength and locked in solid. You need to experiment to optimize the results.
