Moon & the Nightspirit - Aether (Violet transulcent) - VINYL LP

Throughout it's 17 years of existence, Hungarian duo The Moon And The Nightspirit not once failed to enthrall lovers of mythical folk music. With traces of paganism and tribalism, the pair has existed in it's very own fairytale world throughout six albums and countless intense live shows on international stages - but now, it was time for them to readjust their approach. Speaking of their new full-length InchAetherInch as a Inchmilestone in the history of the bandInch, guitarist and lyricist Mihály refers to a surprising stylistic recalibration during songwriting - for whereas so far, singer Ágnes' voice has been front and center, the two-piece now perfectly balances the female and male sides of it's musical entity. Consequently, The Moon And The Nightspirit are as flamboyant as they have ever been. As forerunners of a new generation of heavenly folk music that takes it's cues from Dead Can Dance as much as it's immediate surroundings, they filter their time-honored mixture of richly layered sounds, shamanistic chants and multiple instruments from different periods through masculine powers, maintaining both their graceful delicacy and peerless inventiveness. With added focus on harsh vocals, InchAetherInch seems not only impeccably executed - arranged with the group's fabled passion and virtuosity - but also makes good on the promise of InchMetanoiaInch If it's predecessor rekindled an inner flame, we are now faced with a glaring fire that lights our way on Incha journey through the Gateless Gates to the source of creation to find the Divine essence of the soul, to remember our Great Cosmic Unity and oneness...Inch InchAetherInch is available as Digipak CD, gatefold LP (black, ltd. Transparent violet) and 2CD box set incl. Digipak CD, 4-track bonus CD (one alternate album track, three live recordings), mini poster and a hand-signed and numbered postcard (500 copies av

With their eighth studio album InchSeed of the FormlessInch, THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT have reached a crossroads on their ever changing path. A deliberate and significant sonic mutation has created a leap in their stylistic evolution. While the Hungarian duo's deep roots in ethereal folk remain audible, InchSeed of the FormlessInch marks their conscious journey into the heavier realms of atmospheric post-metal. The Hungarians' embrace of electric guitars and vast synth soundscapes to channel what they describe as a more cosmic and visceral energy, as compared to the whispering of forest and meadows in their musical past, makes perfect sense at this stage of their sonic evolution. As THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT navigate the space between shadow and luminescence, the parallel contrast between the acoustic and the electric as well as their subsequent amalgamation, they unlock the gates to a vast realm of new possibilities. There will always be those who oppose any change, but as true artists THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT acted on their need to evolve further. The result is InchSeed of the FormlessInch, which is drawing from atmospheric post-metal and ambient, while the duo's soul remains intact mystical, yearning, and eternally bound to the infinite! Album Tracks 1. Cosmic Seed 2. Luminous Thread 3. Odyssey Limen 4. The First Tremor 5. Astromorphosis 6. Fount of Everlight 7. Olden Renaissance 8. Lament of the Thistle Queen
