My first 1up Arcade purchase; after doing research on past machines, I'm glad I waited for one of the deluxe editions. Don't have to deal with risers and you get more games. This is a great machine - the assembly was a little tricky for me, but once it was finished and I plugged it in, it was very satisfying to see it boot up and the marquee light up. If you've had experience assembling cabinets before, you might get this put together more quickly. But for my first time, this took about 3 hours. 14 games in this; MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, Paperboy, Rootbeer Tapper, Defender, Bubbles, Klax, Toobin, Rampage, Joust, Wizard of Wor, and Gauntlet. All run great - rootbeer tapper and bubbles have been two surprisingly fun games I've played almost as much as the main MK series. Right off the bat, once powered up, you are absolutely sucked into that zoned in arcade mode - the world sort of fades behind you. I'd forgotten how fun it is to play a cabinet and interact with a joystick and buttons, instead of just playing on a console. It's a whole different experience and this captures it fantastically. The re-playability is top tier - just that ever present ability to jump in and play about 40 minutes is nice. Screen looks beautiful especially in the dark - Wi-Fi connectivity is good (for me - more on that later). Enjoy having the app to have all moves and fatalities right there. Sound and speakers are really fantastic too, very clear and has good bass - sounds exactly like a standard arcade cabinet should. All comes together and creates a magical gaming atmosphere. Depending on your height, a stool may be preferred. In my case being 6'2, while standing up is acceptable, I do find it's more comfortable on my neck and arms to be on a stool. If you happen to have a drafting stool with arms and a back, it's an even more incredible and comfortable experience. I saw some comments about input lag? I haven't noticed anything close to lag - to be fair, I haven't played online yet, so it might be an issue with local Wi-Fi connectivity (not everyones home network is the same in terms of up/down speeds or signal strength) so that may have a part to play in this 'issue'. As far as my experiences though, all controls and inputs have been very responsive and snappy. Fatalities executed with precision and no delay. Price is a little high, but for what you're getting (number of games, build quality, and game genre variety) I don't regret this purchase. I'd like a companion machine from the SF series in this same 1up Arcade deluxe line of cabinets, but patience and saving comes first. One thing I did notice when the games are running in 'demo' mode (like they would in an arcade trying to tempt you to play the game and insert money), the sound eventually turns off after about 10 minutes. The game/cpu is still running on the video. Might just be my machine, but if you're getting this as a sort of Art Deco piece, and want the demo sounds/video running constantly or at least an extended period of time, it's just something to consider. Doesn't take away from the gameplay - when actually playing the machine there are no sound interruptions. Overall would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to dip your toes in the arcade cabinet pool or add to your collection.

Just like playing at the arcade and at home on the Super Nintendo. Light up marque looks really sharp! Screen is very clear and looks just like the original game, controls work great. Cabinet was easy to put together, the art is nice looking. Deluxe versions is nice, easier to assemble vs the rise versions, and height is better as well. Definitely recommend the deluxe versions over the others, Arcade1Up is stepping up their game If you like Mortal Kombat and/or arcade machines, definitely get this one to add your collection. Has all 3 Mortal Kombat games. Also includes Rampage, Gauntlet, Paper Boy, and other classics! Great plus, worth the price! Cabinet is great size, not official size as like the arcade, but perfect to play at home with multiple players and permits you to maximize your room real estate. Don't be defeated, get this arcade machine!

I am so happy I purchased this for my family! My husband put it together on Christmas day and it took him around 1-2 hours. Because it's such a unique item, it was important to take our time and be careful with all the parts. Overall, it was not difficult to do. The frame of this arcade is very nice, thick, and of a good weight. We are having so much fun with all the different games it has available and the online play features. Paperboy is my favorite and the boys love all the Mortal Kombat games. The price was best at Best Buy, vs other stores. I LOVE THIS PURCHASE and HAVE ZERO REGRETS!
