Q: What keeps a laptop from slipping off. Also I see some risers with holes in them so I guess the laptop can breathe. Does this provide that in any way?

A: It has grips on the arms that are a rubber, silicone texture. It doesn't need the holes because it is two arms that hold the computer up and nothing more, so there isn't a lot of surface area blocked by the stand so the computer keeps cool perfectly. It is very minimalist in the design so it anything that the generic flat stands need.

Unstable and Laptop Slides Off
Didn't like this stand at all. My MacBook air slid off immediately after setting it down. The top piece was unsteady and the screws did not fit in place that well. I wanted to like it with the glowing reviews below but it is not for me. Returning!!

Ergonomic Helper
This is a very nice laptop riser. Although I had to assemble it myself, it was an easy thing to do. All the components were in the package, and it didn't take long. There was a visual assembly guide to help. It has a rubber liner that the laptop sits on, and it does not slide off. It also has rubber grips on the bottom base that keeps it rock solid. I have a separate keyboard for input. The riser gets my laptop screen up at eye level for ergonomics. Hunching over a laptop for years was giving me a serious case of "tech neck" so it was time to use ergonomic principles. I don't consider the stand portable, but it is great for setting up the laptop on the desk.

Saves my neck!
I goth this stand originally so my mouse could move fluidly between my laptop and my monitor. But the biggest change was in my posture! This stand has made it so im not looking down at my laptop and saved my neck! I had nonidea the strain i was experiencing without this stand! My shoulders are better, and i have not been back to my chiropractor in months!
